On another note, Anyone have any suggestions for other modifications for the future? I'm kind of trying to get a list going for when I get back from Boot camp.

I plan on hitting up Mid-Ohio some time this summer when I get back! I need to get me a full Suit though, I dunno how much they charge to rent one. Also I hope they don't mind my battery tray being ziptied on one side.... It broke and I haven't had the time to replace.... haha

You intend to modify the frame sliders? That is the worst idea I've EVER heard with regards to frame sliders-- You're better off not running them at all than Jimmy-rigging them so they snap off, just so you don't have to cut the fairings that are gonna get royally fcked up when you lay it down and that "modified" frame slider breaks off.

Cut the fairings, take your time, make it look good. Don't half-ass it.

Things I am sick of explaining on this forum:

  • Should I start on a 600 or a 250? HERE
  • How do I ask the forum a question and actually get an answer? HERE
  • Where do I find a map for my Bazzaz? HERE
  • Should I get a 520 kit for MOA POWAH? HERE

This is where I purchased my fairings. They took a while to get to my house but other than that they were great! All the fairings fit nicely, but I ran into a minor problem with the bottom fairings, they didn't line up nice, perfect and flush where the bottom fairings come together under the four exhaust pipes, but I solved that by holding them together and drilling a hole through, then bolting it. I'll try to get some pictures of what im talking about to clear up any confusion haha.

Other than that the finish was nice, the stickers are actually under the clear coat so they won't peel off. I had to be careful though because if I screwed the fairing screws on and off too much it would actually scratch through everything. In general fairings are a pain in the ass to put on regardless haha

As for me saying I might modify the sliders, I only considered it because I have just spend 600 dollars on nice fairings so if I cut them I feel as though its defeating the purpose. Though I do take the chance of if I crash my fairings being ruined as well. I might stick with another brand that allows me to bypass cutting the fairings, or next spring/summer when I can actually ride maybe Ill have changed my mind anyway and decide to cut the fairings.
