Alright, I have a 2016 R6 as a street bike and a 2001 zx6r as a track bike. My track bike probably has one season left in it and then I'd like to make my R6 my track bike. I'm slowly adding things to my R6 so when I do decide to completely track it out, it'll be mostly done. I just did my first Dyno with Apex Manufacturing after adding a MJS midpipe, Akra Exhaust, BMC Race Filter, & an ECU flash. My power went from 98hp to 106hp. I'm content with that power increase for now. I'd like some tips on what could I do in the future to really gain more power out of that engine?
Bro, slow your roll... you don't know this guys skill level. He could be a prodigy! Hi Wiles <3
But in all seriousness, hes absolutely right. Its not a bash on you at all. Unfortunately for us regular folk, we will never be able to ride a newer sportbike to its fullest potential in stock form. If upgrades are what you want, i would suggest keeping the motor as is, and upgraded the suspension. Getting a nice setup underneath you will advance you alot faster and further than an upgraded engine. Just my 2 cents...that aren't worth 2 cents.
curious why you ended up with a 2016 R6 vs the updated 17 model??
Doing any work to the motor will only put you on an accelerated refresh and/or maintenance schedule.
Add in $25/gallon race fuel and frequent expensive oil changes... could get you into the $20/lap price point!
Also these motors require surface discharge plugs when modified... usually run about $65/ each!

I bought the 2016 R6 because of the 60th Ann fairings to be honest. I loved the way it looked and I think it's a beautiful bike I could buy that was in my budget.
Best upgrade on any sports bike in my opinion are lightweight wheels. They make everything work better.
The best Bang for the Buck would be a Quickshifter.
Obviously you should have your bike dyno tuned for your setup and suspension dialed in for you
