Just got my 04 R6. I have heard numerous types of break in periods for this bike. I drove it about 120 miles at an average speed of 70 MPH and about 6000 to 7500 RPM's. If anybody can give me some help on the proper way to break in my bike I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks
i have heard you should ride it VERY hard to break it in. something about the piston rings? setting in and not leaking. i cant remember. ill see if i can dig the article up at all.
PS breaking in a bike HARD is great for a race bike that you are going to destroy after 5,000 miles anyway, but for your baby, do it the right way...
She will thank you for it by lasting for years instead of months.
