I went to the dealer I bought my bike from to get inspected yesterday and I just so happened to stop by on a demo day. It was cruiser demo day, but what the hell, something fun to do while I wait for my inspection.
Ended up trying out two Yahama cruisers. One 1900cc and a smaller V-Star. I actually really enjoyed the V-Star. The 1900 had floor boards which I couldn't use comfortably with my boots.
I also got to ride a Honda DN-01. It was... different. For those that don't know, it is an automatic. It was actually pretty fun cruising around not having to worry about shifting. Even more fun when one of the guys who WORKS at the dealer stalled his bike taking off from a traffic light that just turned green and me just twisting the throttle to scoot past trying to contain my laughter. The only complaint was the motor felt really lumpy, but I think that was just the auto sticking into a higher gear than it needed to be. I put it in "manual" mode at a stop sign and it was in 6th gear. :lmao
All in all, probably the most enjoyable trip to get an inspection ever!
