Im from Edmonton and do track days at Stratotech Park in Fort Sask, which is a great track just 10min outside the city limits. Also, Calgary has Race City which is another decent track.

Shiet, theres tracks all over the place in western Canada. You just arent even trying to find them.
I KNEW someone would mentiuon it. Its a go kart track guys. I dove past it every day for 5 years going to work, and I lived out by ft sask for 20 years. its small. It renders itself boring after 1 day. ive been there. Done that. Wasnt impressed. I have just as much fun racing on the streets actually, well, the times I dont get stopped by Mr. Piggy.

And Calgary has one, I hear its no screamiong hell, and much like stratotech. So why bother.

And as for moving to the east....phhhfff. Alberta is where its at. Every one else can move east if tey want, us westerners actually want everyone to go away. If we have to pay for the whole country to stay afloat, and pay your EI and dues...Id rather not have to look at you either.

So what makes a track a go-kart track vs. a bike track? Its just a track. They race bikes, karts, cars and have drifting shit there a couple times a year too. Its multi-purpose. I dont think there is a such thing as a track that is exclusive to one type of vehicle, such a track would go broke inside of a year.

And while the track isnt big by any stretch, Id hesitate to call it small. Think of it as technical. I can easily hit over 200 km/h on the straight following turn 1 on my r6 before I hit the braking zone. What more do you want?

I have tons of fun at stratotech. Dont see what the problem is.

Re: ducati 848evo or panigale or stay with the 6??

So far...ive put 300 miles on my 848 this winter and me being 5'6 and 140lb (tiny). The bike fits me very well and the seat is fine IMO, could be better but the stock R6 seat wasnt exactly fluffy pillows either. Very different and I finally got adjusted to the gearing and riding a Vtwin but overall I am satisfied with my purchased with no regrets.

In other news, I test rode a Panigale the other day and I liked it just as much! its smaller so it fits me even better! I thinik I'll be picking one up later this year once the 848 is paid off :
