Moding the R6s vs buying new r6

Ive got a 09 r6s i bought it new I've put a slip on and a air filter Im thinking of moding the rest out.... fuel delivery full exhaust maybe some v stacks pretty inexpensive mods. Or I can buck up to a newer 3rd gen. It's not like I do alot of track riding anyway mostly caynon and street cruisen but the coupe times I've went its like there snickering behind my back this guys got a S model hehe". Anyway at this point in my riding I want some more gitty up kinda want to step into the 3 gens not that in unhappy with my bike now just the performance and handling of the 3s is enticing

If you have the $ and prefer the looks of the 3rd gens, go for it. If you're happy with your bike, keep it and pimp it out more. Don't worry about what others think.

Agreed my 2nd gen will keep up with most any 3rd gen with a similar paced rider.

Re: Moding the R6s vs buying new r6

Both!!! That's what I did!! They both have slightly different things to offer but both are great bikes. I personally like NOT having fly by wire on the S, the higher gearing, and the ergos are slightly better for the street. With that said, I like the seating position for the track on the "r"; it puts my big ass in a more aggressive position, rather than a tad more upright, like on the S. Meh...Keep it.

Sounds like you need new people to ride with, not a new bike.

Even people that I've ridden with on the forum have made jokes but it's no slouch at all....Also, they are just jokes, no need to get sensitive about it...Hell, I'd give you more shit for switching up bikes, than making fun of the S...

After that, I'd know my words hold supreme powers over you...

I'd make fun of your car, lady, money, penis size n all; seeing what you could do about all those....

I'm getting my valves done this spring and I'm tempted to have him dyno it. I'm curious what power its putting down at 30k miles. I think it may be running a little lean too. It does hold pretty well on the straights against the other 600s.
