I think if the guy likes it, and it's what fits his budget, then who cares what people think. Not everyone can afford the top end gear all the time. If you wanna judge a guy, do it by his riding skills, not by what he's wearing.

I'd go with A-star, a little high in price but their quality is good too. Just remember, you get what you pay for.

First person i've seen in a while say a* has good quality lol.

Well, I still got my jacket and it's held up....So I guess they've gone down in quality since I bought it back in 07/08? lol
