So i recently purchased a crashed 2006 yamaha r6s from my cousin and have been working on it the past few months little by little. I was making some progress but money issues caused a pause on completion. During the down time, my brother had worked on a few things in my garage and mixed up a buncha stuff with my parts and trays i had all my bolts in. I was goin through my bolts and parts the other day and came accross these two parts i dont recognize. I know their purpose but dont remember if they came off my bike. One is a small copper ring, too small for an exhaust seal forsure. Maybe for a caliper or brake line?? The other piece is a small, kinda U shaped rataining clip of some sort... my mind draws a blank and havent found anything online to help.. if anyone has any suggestion, id greatly appreciate it.
Thanks for the help tou guys are awesome!! tdoss was right about the clip. It is for sure for the caliper support clip. So glad i asked before it was too late. Im gonna check both front and rear brakes and radiator/coolant system now to see where the crush washer goes. Ill keep u all updated, thanks again for the help
You were right about the clip, but im still having trouble trying to determine where that crush washer goes. When i removed the breaks, i never removed any break lines, jus the two mounting bolts. Cant seem to find a place for it in the cooling system either...
Hey all, sorry for the lag in update. I started lookin at everything and running through allthe stuff i worked on, but wasnt looking at the simple things. i think i may have found the bolt and location for that crush washer... lemme know what u think
So everything worked out great as i was able to install both mystery pieces. I appreciate all the help and am currently back onthe road.. however i do have one more question to another mystery part and wasnt sure if it was tp my bike. Everything rides good but stilla lil sketched as i dont know if this round spacer/sleeve belongs to my bike..maybe for the rear spindle? Heres a pic
The only thing I can think of is a spacer for one of the wheels, but it's a bit hard to tell if it's the right size. I'm guessing you'd notice if you were missing one of those.
