My bike is running a bit sluggish ever since I did my mid-pipe/slip-on. Throttle response isn't as smooth and it backfires/pops a ton. I'm looking to invest in a PCV soon. Questions: Should I just buy a PCV and get it dyno tuned? Or get a PCV and get Auto Tune? Any advice is appreciated, cheers!
p.s. Bike is for street riding only, no track here in Hawaii.
from what I read you still want to get a proper tune on a dyno if you're going to go with an autotune. you need it to be really close to optimal to start out. it can't adjust a whole lot is the reason. so if it starts out, let's say a really lean setting, it may not be able to get it to an optimal reading into the normal zone. it could still be on the lean side. but this is all stuff I see on forums. I would highly recommend calling dyno jet and asking their techs.
Yeah after doing more research it seems either one would be perfectly fine. But if I want to take full advantage, I should get a good tune as a base and then go for the auto tune and make adjustments off that based on my daily riding. To be honest, I think I might just get the pcv then the dyno and call it a day. I'm not too tech savvy and going the auto tune route seems confusing to me.
the auto tune works on it's own. it's just a matter of hooking it up and letting it do it's thing.
