Hello, I am new to this forum. I recently bought a 2006 r6. In the beginning, everything worked fine. But after I did an oil change and cleaned the chain, my r6 have a hard time to go 80. Before i did the maintenance I could go 80-110 really easily but now it is much harder to go faster. Does anyone know why?
Back then I could cruise on the highway going 70-80 mph on 6th gear and be only around 4k rpm but now its like 6-7k rpm going 80.
I apologise for my reply. I see my comments were already addressed. New to the forum as of today. Still learning how to navigate my way around. But if anyonewants to bash on me I can handle it. And I wouldn't blame them.
i think your memory is fuzzy. I've never seen any 600 at 4k doing 70-80mph.
I had a -1 front with a stock rear sprocket and it would be at 7k at 70. with a stock sprocket it was still 6-6.5k.
now if you can't accelerate past 80 in like 3rd or 4th gear you have a problem.
