2008 R6 "butt plug"

Not sure what they call it lol.

But anyone know what they're called and where I can get one?

The thing that used to hold the rear license bracket (the hole)

Thanks!

No, I mean the hole underneath the rear. I've seen some R6's with like a clean cover over it

Re: 2008 R6 "butt plug"

It sounds like you want to keep your license plate mounted as seen in the photo, and would like to cover the portion of the tail now exposed due to removing the stock plate/signal mount.

If that is the case, the unfortunate news is that you don't have many options. They just don't exist as a commercial product. Find someone to fab one up for you, fab one yourself, or find a fender eliminator that you like which uses that location as a mounting point.

(EDIT: you beat me to the post^^^ you were pretty clear about what you are after in the response)

^^^Looks like a custom job. As far as I know, this is the closest thing commercially available, even though it's not what you are looking for: http://greggscustoms.com/?wpsc-produ...der-eliminator

I know its not what you want to hear, but unless you can find someone willing to part with a one-off or maybe someone who made a few extras, it's going to be a DIY project.

Some DIY projects turn out really nice, a guy on this forum did a great job fiberglassing that portion smooth on an OEM tail.
