I just bought a 2015 R6 (Pearl White) and was in the mist of removing the passenger peg assembly when I noticed I would be leaving big squares in the tail section. Does anyone know if there are any kind of caps sold to fill the holes? I saw something out of the UK but I didn't know if there was somewhere closer.
Yes. They are called "Passenger Peg Plugs".. There were a couple of people here who sold em, but they are long gone. However, there is still a guy called GundamZeppellin I think, and he sells em on this forum and Ebay.
^you can kinda see the hole from the side, but more or less you will only see the hole visible from underneath.
and as for the people that are interested in the rear peg plugs. I purchase a set for my bike from a member here. custom made and paint matched to the color of my bike which is yamaha blue. This was in the summer of 2016. really give the bike a nice clean look to it.
he is on this forum user Gundamzeppelin shoot him a PM to see if he can make one for you. i dont think shipping to uk will be that much of a deal since its a small item.
I find it disappointing that, for a bike where the bodywork was essentially unchanged for 9 years, there is such a dearth of aftermarket add-ons. Especially for a supersport bike, where a clean rear seat cowl or plugs to clean up after the removal of passenger pegs should sell thousands.
I got an email today from gundamzeppelin and he said that he wont be making any more until spring as its freezing balls in new york right now.
I was gonna try to see if i can get someone else to make them custom, but does anyone know the exact measurements for a 2016 r6?
That's me, I noticed a few people hitting me up as of late, I walked away for a while due to the stress of dealing with guys who wanted picture prefect work for a cheap price, I didn't make the plugs to make money, I made them to help out guys who wanted to cover those holes but not pay 80 dollar + for them. Since it's forum members hitting me up I'll look into ordering stuff to get started again. I'll do some test sprays if they go well and colors match I'll move forward if not. I'm Honestly not willing to invest the money into paints again.
Woah you responded! Well if you do get into it I wont even care if it's a 100% match. As long as it's white it would look much better than a gaping hole. I'll stay tuned
I'll see what I can do, I want to try better mold making techniques.
