Re: tank grips

Forum search...this was answered in the past.

But there are 2 major brands Stomp Grip and Techspec. From my personal experience having used both I find Stompgrip is superior to Techspec when in full leathers. The pattern seems to grip leathers really well. Not to say they don't work with riding jeans but the level of grip I find is less. Techspec is a great choice for strictly street riding, they seem to grip riding jeans better but will also grip leathers, obviously. I have found that over time Stompgrip will start to wear down riding jeans after a couple seasons as well.

If your a track rider, Stomp Grip for sure. Street I'd say Techspec. But these are my personal opinion after using both. I will probably be going back to Techspec when it's time to replace my Stomp Grips as I mostly ride in riding jeans.

The only reason I wouldn't go with the ones on Amazon is you don't know the quality of their adhesive. The nice thing about Stomp Grip and Techspec is they are easily removed without leaving any residue and once placed don't ever move or peel

I've used both. Tech Spec on the previous ride, Stomp Grip on the current one, and will be going back to Tech Spec as soon as the paint is done on the new tank. Can't say I really prefer one over the other.

Re: tank grips

tech if you are wearing jeans street riding, stomp if you are in leathers on a track bike. I find tech specs wear out quickly IMO

tank grips

I have tech specs on my street bike but they are probably 6 or so years old. Just got some new ones for the track bike and it is WAY different material than it used to be - much thicker and more comfortable! Also seems like a more durable outer later too

Re: tank grips

Stomp Grips are nice but if you're wearing jeans on the street they tend to tear up the inside seams. On the track they're awesome.
