Re: HOME PROJECTS Thread

i wish i would have known about this thread before this summer. i did a lot (well as much free time i had, working and school)

over the summer i started to fix up an attic. install plywood on the sides and on the floor. so far ive done the floor and i am finishing up the walls. i dont know what im going to do with the ceiling yet.

another project was renovating a room. it is about 6 feet by 10feet room. i gutted the whole room and installed new drywall on the roof and ceilings. installed some $$$ wood flooring. almost $700 just on the damn floor. oh yeah the hardest part of it all, was doing the leveling of the damn room. but i did it.

another proejct i just recently finished was staining some old wood flooring. and this i actually have the pics of. ill upload them when i get home. sanding was the worst part in this. but it turned out great for my second time actually staining flooring.

Holy shit, that's cool as hell! 1922...

The stain looks great too, but with how glossy it is, kinda makes me want to go skating...

the stain was just done that day and only one coat. so thats why it was so bright. i let it dry, sanded some more rough spots and applied polythene mixed with stain. some people use water based stains, but i use oil based. sanding and prep is key when staining old flooring.
