What the fcuk is it? Lagunitas Brewery "Undercover Investigation Shutdown Ale"
How much booze is in it? about 10%
How big is the bottle? comes in a 6 pack of 12oz bottles
How much was it? usually $9.99 USD
Where did you get it? supermarkets and liquor stores on the west coast
Was it worth the purchase price? Absolutely. This is an excellent beer, and to be honest, my all time favorite. Its a pretty stony beer, so you wont be drinking 30 of them in a night, but it has amazing flavor, sort of like a high quality IPA, but the alcohol content of a barleywine. Just an all around awesome beer.
The Final Word: My favorite beer. I am physically unable to pass it in the aisle without buying it when its in season.

Was it worth the purchase price? Why or why not? FCK YEA. Because you can literally mix it in anything. OJ, Cran, Sunkist, whatever. And if it's really cold, shots arent bad either.

What the fcuk is it? Belle Meade Bourbon
How much booze is in it? 45% by volume
How big is the bottle? 750ml
How much was it? $40 I think? Certainly wasn't more than that.
Where did you get it? Beverage Warehouse in Marina Del Rey, CA
Was it worth the purchase price? Why or why not?
Ab-so-****-ing-lute-ly. Cracked this open last night, and it was so good my first thought was "I gotta go revive the booze thread." This is hands down, the smoothest, silkiest bourbon I've ever put to my lips. I had to go double check the bottle because I couldn't believe it was 90 proof. It might not have quite the same level of character/depth of some other bourbon I like, but it's like 90% of the way there, and unbelievable drinkable. This might be my new go-to for bourbon.

What the fcuk is it? High West Double Rye
How much booze is in it? 45% by volume
How big is the bottle? 750ml
How much was it? $29
Where did you get it? Costco, Woodland, CA
Was it worth the purchase price? Why or why not?
Absolutely, if you like rye whiskey. I really, really enjoyed this one and ended up drinking half a bottle of it at Halloween. I consumed it on the rocks and went through half a bottle before I stopped for the sake of getting up the next day, but could have easily enjoyed the rest. Excellent taste, a solid rye, and a decent price. It is now the one I reach for in my cabinet, and its next to some pretty solid company. Super smooth, nice flavor, solid finish.

When you want to win, when there is no substitute for the best, when you don't want to feel the sting of second place, you really only have one place to turn.
