Nope not in Ohio the only rifle you can use is a muzzleloader, which isnt my cup of tea

Plus when we were young you could get your 22 and for $10 you could shoot for Weeks.

We dont have armadillos. The only non-edible we were allowed to dispatch without prejudice were possums.
Around here at my grandparents farm, we could go for days on opossums, groundhogs and raccoons just cause they're nuisances. As for squirrels, I haven't ever done much squirrel hunting but I have heard they are delicious

Re: any hunters on here?

Not really a hunter, yet. Going for a deer with a buddy who lives in the country this weekend, he let me borrow an extra Mossberg 12 gauge of his

I live in town, so guns are not of any real use. Have an older Remington .22 LR, and a nice Savage .17 HMR. Also have a fully automatic BB gun pistol I modded out Gotta have something to kill those pesky chipmunks in the yard, without pissing off the neighbors

So not exactly real hunter here, just recreational and target shooting guy. I do take care of a good number of squirrels and chipmunks each year though

Headed to TN in the a.m. for muzzleloader opener Saturday. I love my muzzleloader. Its not very primitive, except in the amount of time it takes to reload. Gotta make that first shot count.

Aint that an understatement.... Thats why I always liked the 30/30 LA. If you are decent at working the lever, even if you miss the first shot, you wont be much slower than someone with a semi auto and easily as fast and likely faster than a guy with a BA rifle. Typically you have to be a little closer though as a lot of the 30/30 LAs had shorter barrels so you cant reach out as far.

Re: any hunters on here?

NICE! I wish I had a chance to hunt elk or bear. Elk here is a once in a lifetime thing and you have to be picked out of the lottery for it.
