Hey guys. I've got an 07 R6s with 14,xxx miles. Last summer I switched over to a -1/+2 520 vortex chain and sprocket kit. The problem I am having is on/off throttle engagement is pretty harsh, like there is slack in the drivetrain. I've adjusted the chain a couple times to the slack specified in the service manual (both on a rear stand, as specified in the manual, and on the ground). If I tighten it a little more than recommended (around 1" of slack) the on/off throttle harshness mostly goes a way, but comes back again after a short time. I'm not sure if it's an issue with my chain tightening procedure, throttle cable free play, rear wheel cush drive rubbers?
Or having slack in the drivetrain between on/off throttle just normal for the R6? I got the bike with 5500 miles and I don't remember this drivetrain slack being present before the new chain and sprocket so I think it's related to that.
