Hey guys, new to bikes this year. It's been a trial by fire for me because a few weeks after buying my first bike it popped two valves and I got a replacement engine for a decent price and put it in on my own (with lots of help from the service manual).
After putting the case back together it had to come apart again because I didn't put a shift fork in the correct way. Now when I ride, shifting is fine when cold. The bike finds neutral and first no issues but when I ride and the bike warms up it won't find neutral or first (problematic, obviously). When it cools down again, i can shift normally again.
I thought maybe the linkage needs adjusted but it is in spec. Any ideas? Thanks!
1999 r6 if it doesn't show up in my profile
