Best exhaust for 2002 r6

I got a 2002 r6 and it came with a slip on D&D exhaust. I wanted to know which is the better exhaust for these bikes in a cheaper price range.....looking for a slip on (full are out of my budget) exhaust and it has to be the high mount style. (prefer Carbon fiber).

What do you all think about the Delkevic 14 or 18 inch carbon fiber one?

should I get the 14 or 18? (3500-4500mm)

Thanks.

Post a link.

IMO, the shorty one from Delkevic is the hottest, but it's also what I have. LOL

18 inches is huge. Go for the shorter one for a more modern look. Noone rocks the huge cans anymore.

I heard that the bigger cans look better on the 2002s. I don't have any pictures though. Anyways will a 2003 slip on fit good?

And what are the performance differences with a 14" stubby can or a 18" can?

Planning on the ivans jet kit either way.

I don't think the later model slip on will be a direct fit.

With a shorter can you will get less back pressure and less restriction on the exhaust. The bike runs best with as little restriction as possible (but not none all together) in my experience. The D&D is like 18 inches I never loved the look. The HR1 is super short and straight thru. The bike ran the strongest to redline with that slip-on. The delkevic shorty I have is a little more restrictive, but lets the bike pull to redline nicely still.

I'd go with the 14 inch for the look and for better high end performance. Let's face it, the bike doesn't have the strongest bottom end!
