Re: R6 FAQ, Fuel Controllers, Exhaust, Maps

Controlling the upper injectors isn't necessary. It is a worth a little bit of power, but we're not talking huge differences. Especially for the additional price. I was asked about the secondary module on another forum, and personally I think I'd buy the ignition module, followed by the quick shift, before the secondary fuel module, it's definitely at the end of the list. That being said, I'm not sure I'm going to be willing to drop that kind of money for more add-ons at this point. For all that money, I'd be tempted to add a YEC, and still just fine tune with my PCV and AutoTune on top of that.

Added a section for PCV software, will include how-tos that sort of thing, for the moment, just a Firmware update how-to.

Updated a few of the existing sections, and added an install section, that is still definitely a work in progress.

A few more updates. Nothing major, the how-to section still needs quite a bit of work.

Re: R6 FAQ, Fuel Controllers, Exhaust, Maps

this is great information, thank you

I recently ordered an olson y-pipe (already have an aftermarket slip on). I understand why it is recommened to run a fuel management system, am i going to cause any damage to the bike when I run my slipon/y-pipe setup without it?

edit: i plan to leave the cat in place, and cut the muffler out

Re: R6 FAQ, Fuel Controllers, Exhaust, Maps

Probably a stupid question, but:

Do I need a servo eliminator plug if I'm installing smog block off plates? I read some other threads and I'm a little confused. I couldn't find any answers with a forum search.

I recently did a dyno run with with my PCV and AutoTune disabled, and was actually surprised at how rich the factory settings where. It won't make as much power without the fuel controller, but my bike stayed on the safe side of rich pretty much everywhere. I'd don't see if causing any damage.

<-- The one weird spike is pretty much a characteristic of not having the EXUP and valve overlap.
