Reinstalling rear wheel?

Just a couple of questions...

Should I apply more grease to the axle? How much?

Chain tension? What should it be? Personal preferences? (Mostly ride in town - little bit of hiway, with a slight tendency to like the front wheel in the air)

Easiest way to ensure it's straight?

Wipe axel clean, re-apply fresh grease. Just enough to slide it in and keep it from seizing..yeah, TWSS…

Chain tension--bottom of the chain should have a slight "droop" in it. Chain needs to be smiling at you.
.
Wheel straight---yeah, you can buy tools, make string jigs and all that shit. I use a digital caliper and just measure both sides at the swing-arm. Can it be off---sure, by a fraction of a millimeter, are you gonna notice the difference, no

Apply some grease to the axle. Don't need a whole lot, just enough to lightly coat it.

Set chain tension around 1.5 inches. Maybe a little under if you're easy on it.

Use the markers on the swing arm to make sure the axle is straight. You can use a ruler if you want.

If you remove/reinstall your rear wheel a lot, you should invest in one of these. Holds your rear caliper in place while the rear wheel is out. I have one but a different brand and LOVE it.

Tell me about it. I used to have the perfect sized broom handle that I would put in there but it disappeared. Even if it's a pain, I'm reluctant to pay $35 for a piece of plastic to stick in there.
