Ive got a Michelin Pilot power 2ct on the front and i need a new rear but I dont want to spend the extra 20 for the 2ct for the rear. Would there be any issue running a different compound on the front and rear. I would think not, just because its the same tread pattern.....

You would be fine to put on a regular Pilot Power on the rear. The tread is the same pattern and the rear compound is the same as the 2CT front center part. It's just approximately the outter 10% of the edges that have the softer compound. I run different compounds on the track all the time. Such as a Michelin D.O.T. race tire PR2 front and a PR4 rear.
