Re: The first time YOU dragged knee. . .

My first time was following behind my friend at the track to watch her lines. She was taking it kind of easy, borderline slow and in a left turn I felt a small scrape. Then I kept trying to drag the rest of the day but I couldn't because I was back at my normal pace, but when I slowed down it just happened without me trying.
The next track day a few months later I dragged and forgot what it was like, got spooked and straightened the bike up and the coach right behind me thought I was gonna eat it. I have only one year on the track and I thought that dragging knee was very difficult...

Doing good. Just got some plastics for my R6 and I think by next season it will be a track only bike. Bummed we missed you the last few days we went. We should be there in February! Mark and I have 7 days in mind for next year.

Sweet!!! Can't wait to see the bike all dressed in track plastics. Mark is a killer painter. I am looking to do feb and probably once every 3-4 months. Been so busy I had to skip out on a few track days.

Can't stand you people with year round seasons. Have at least 10 days scheduled next year possibly as many as 15. (pending tire budget)

I'm only doing 3 weekends next year but it will be fun! Running a set of superbike pros and only CRing for those weekends until I get to run a few CCS weekends after September.

CCS would be better for you both. But will cost way more than Mcra.

Re: The first time YOU dragged knee. . .

My first time was at my first trackday - touched, yanked my leg back in, then was like "oh, cool" and stuck it back out there. Third trackday I was scraping a fair bit, but at the end of the day realized if I kept that up I was gonna burn through pucks like candy if I kept that up. Now I just touch and pull up a tad or lightly let it brush the ground. Mostly just use it as an indicator now of lean angle.

Re: The first time YOU dragged knee. . .

Do short legs have any effect on dragging a knee?
I guess looking at the geometry it would make it harder.
I'm 5'6" and can only just touch the ground with toes when stationary. Up on the pegs my knees are a long way from the ground!

I've got my fourth track day this weekend at Sydney Motorsport Park - let's see if I can finally scuff up those knees!
