yea there are quite a bit, and they usually organize rides every weekend to hakone usually meeting at the parking lot in ebina on the tomei if im not mistaken. i bought the bike at the local red baron, canadian spec so it meets all US standards for importation once i switch it from KPH to MPH

Re: Welcome to JAPON!!!

I've checked Red Barron. I think they are little pricey than other stores. Oh well, I'm sure you are happy having a SS bike in Jpn. Cuz me & u know that we can pass any vehicles we want. Are you planning to ship it back to US after you are done with the Navy?

Re: Welcome to JAPON!!!

yea once i transfer from here ill have it shipped backred baron maybe a little higher on the price side but they come with free pick up as long as you are within 200 clicks of a redbaron,(which is really easy consdering they are everywhere) i payed 110 dollars for 2 years worth of oil so all i pay for is filter and labor every 6 months so its not to bad

Re: Welcome to JAPON!!!

Since you already bought it (R.Baron) not going say too much crap abt them. I was going to get it from there as well but after I found out that 200km free pick up service...is actually a total of 200. which means if you got service once for 120k, you are left with 80k the next time. So, be careful. But mind you the oil service is good cuz I have to pay 9000y just to changed the oil myself. Did you get lure into buying their pink/purple lock? They have confidence that their lock is un-breakable. & the theft insurance thing only works if you have their lock on. Make sure you have it on at all times, otherwise you wont get a yen back.

Re: Welcome to JAPON!!!

i didnt buy the lock setup or insurance through them, but the oil service is nice, cuz i only pay about 4800 for an oil change and after 3 changes ill basically paid for my reserve (after you saying it costs you 9000) that sucks if its true about the free pick up but hopefully ill not need it my remaining time here

Re: Welcome to JAPON!!!

Hey buddy. Just wondering what kind of license you riding with in JPN? I transferred my Canadian license to Jpnese one then I'm left with a Chu-gata license. Technically, I'm not allow to be on a Oogata bike. Just sneaking it for the past few mths. Got an Intl license to back me up. Last month got pulled over, I showed my Intl license & play the "I dont know any Japanese" gaijin & got away with it. (I was lucky though)

Re: Welcome to JAPON!!!

I'm in Okinawa Japan and have a 06 R6 Raven... There is a shop here that can import the R6, but they go for 1,200,000 Yen + you'd have to have it shipped to Tokyo for anouther 50,000 yen or so.
