So, I went to go get my bike yesterday in the parking garage next to where I live on campus and low and behold my bike is on the ground and the windscreen is in pieces every where because my bike hit the car next to it. my fairing were fine no scratches or anything thanks to the frame sliders, but now I need to get a new windscreen.

I have been looking around online and am trying to fine a windscreen for my 2003 r6 that fades from black to a darkish red at the top. I have the 2003 black with red flames bike and think a windscreen of such would go well with it. I also would just like to get some suggestions from others out there of excellent windscreens they may have owned. Thanks

i prefer the tinted dubble bubble from puig. zero gravity also makes a good windscreen. don't know much about ones with the color you want. i'll see if i can find any.

puig blacks out all of their screens down behind the guage cluster to hide the back of it. their screen is .5mm thicker then zero gravities so it's more sturdy. puig's dark smoke model doesn't have the logo on the front of the screen. the black may or may not have the logo on the front of the screen. the other colors from puig have the logo on the front of the screen. the black/cf are not transparent. the dark smoke at times can have a purplish tint to it (not many do, but it's possible).

zero gravity has the best clarity by a long shot, but this is also because it's .5mm thinner then puig. none of their screens have a logo on the front and they are all transparent. their dark smoke is always a true dark smoke as well.

Sorry, slightly off topic, but what do you mean by your bike hit another car..? :dunce:
Did someone back into your bike? Did it tip over at an angle?

I've been in 2 crashes, and although my windcreen has hairline cracks in it, its still one solid piece.. :sing

I dont know exactly what happened to the bike? The parking garage was very full so I am assuming someone tried to park there hit my bike it tipped over and hit the car next to it. I had my handle bars locked so from what it looked like the windscreen was one of the first things that hit the car next to it. Also my windscreen had a few cracks in it already so I think that was just enough to finish it off.

OK...just placed my order with www.redtagmotorsports.com. It was more expensive than the other colors ($90 with shipping), but I WANTED it! Got order confirmation, but don't know if they actually have it. Tried to call, but they have already closed for the evening. I'll update on any developements for those interested.

that's like asking me if i like akra or leo. Honestly they are both top dogs. If i wanted a clear or a dark smoke i would go with zero gravity. For smoke or any other color? pick your poison as you can't go wrong with either.

zero gravity does have the fluorescent blue as well as normal blue and normal red. the fluorescent blue is kinda cool. very hard to describe though other then only in certain types of light and angles can you tell it's blue, other then that it will look mostly clear. then puig has the cf look which zero gravity doesn't offer along with the black.

zero gravity does offer a red though if you guys are looking for a red...
