Well, I got the CA tail light and it is great. Got my 10% discount from the forum, and the shipping only took 2 days. Installation is simple, just plug in the connector and splice in the 2 turn signal wires, and that's it; no cutting of the stock taillight is required. (of course you must take off your under tail to do this). The signals will flash faster, so I did what BlackWRX02 did and got an EL12 flasher from the auto parts store, and spliced it in under the seat using some male and female spade connectors and 2 small lengths of wire. This flaher will also work if you have LEDs in the front. Looks and flashes just like the one to the left <-------

My blinkers already blink fast because I got greggs custom flush mounts up front. Will my rear turn signals blink even faster with the integrator?

Thanks for the review clevis. I too am in the market for an integrator once my tags come in and I get rid of this hideous mud flap (and I've been wondering how good the CA option was). I was curious if you could post any pictures of the wiring so we can have an see how hard/easy the install is.... and I'm curious to see how the flasher relay that you bought hooks up. My blinkers already blink fast because I got greggs custom flush mounts up front. Will my rear turn signals blink even faster with the integrator? Ed, I think your signals will continue to blink the same speed they do now if you install an integrator. I could be wrong but hey... I tried. :moon

When I installed my VFX Dr.X kit they didnt blink faster, but it did include a flasher relay so thats probably why... BE4TNUT

As for the discount, I just emailed them stating that I was a member of r6-forum and they emailed my back with the price. them i paypal'd them the $ with the email in the comments. If you have the greggs and get the ca kit, the EL12 flasher will fix the flash rate. I threw away the packaging,, but it is mechanical and not load dependent. it is a bit louder than the before though... My tail is buttoned back up, the soonest that I c/would unbutton it is for the road america track days 8/10 and 11. the wireing is simple though; there is a harness w/ 3 wires that plugs directly into the stock harness, and then splice the 2 yellow wires into the turn signal harness (i cut the connectors off the stock turn signals b/c I didn't want to cut the harness on the bike). I'll try to get a picture of the EL12 flasher since it is only under the seat. hope this helps

I recently purchased the CA and noticed it was not as bright as the stock lights. Has anyone else experienced this? Is the VFX kit alot brighter than stock? I took a few pics hopefully you can see the difference. And hopefully i can figure out how to upload the pics :) One thing is for sure when you apply the oem brake light it hurts your eyes looking into it. You don't get the same pain with CA. http://members.shaw.ca/cfearon/images/comparison.jpg

How do you buy them online, I could only find list of local dealers on www.clearalternatives.com. Do you have any pictures of the turn signals? What was the total price with shipping?

My blinkers already blink fast because I got greggs custom flush mounts up front. Will my rear turn signals blink even faster with the integrator? I would be surprised if they blinked at all. With only LED's attached there should not be enough resistance to allow the flasher/relay to work correctly.

My riding buddy has greggs up front and clear alternatives in the back with nothing else added to improve the signal speed. I have greggs up front and factory style turn sigals in the back. Ours blink at the same rate. We have compared them side by side.

I recently purchased the CA and noticed it was not as bright as the stock lights. thats one reason i went with the customled piece. it has alot more led's than stock and it is a hell of alot brighter.

I also have the clear alternatives integrated tail kit. Although my bike is still down, I did install it, and it went in great. I'm going to do a full write up as soon as I get my bike back together.

Got my Clear altrnatives tail light last night and it was very easy to install. I ordered it on Tuesday and it arrived in two days! I am completely satisfied with it and would recommend to anyone looking for a taillight intergrator conversion.

Does anyone know which solution is brighter the customled or the Dr.X kit?? :poke

I agree that the intesity of LED's are different than stock but I think they are more than bright enough to be seen by other motorists.

My clear alternative is brighter than my stock.

My clear alternative is brighter than my stock. Did you actually compare them? After talking with clear alternatives they told me that they use a different led than oem. Oem uses a square led and they use a regular led just more of them. They also explained that it was not possible with the configuration of the led's to be as bright as stock.

How does the signals have amber leds in it with out cutting the stock light?? Does the CA come with a new Light?

How does the signals have amber leds in it with out cutting the stock light?? Dose the CA come with a new Light? Yeah CA is a complete taillight assembly pretty cheap in comparison to the other guys out there. Just not bright enough.

It seems that there will always be differing opinions of whether or not a taillight is bright enough. I guess I'll need to move this up on the mod list so I can see for myself. All I know is that a guy I know with the customLED assembly said that the CA one looked just like his.

Im in the middle of doing this mod myself. Parts have cost me $10 so far and I keep the original brake leds so they are just as bright. Its not a hard mod you just gotta have the balls to hack your tail light up yourself. I have already thought of improvements for the next time. If any of you guys could sell me your stock tail lights let me know. Give me a price. I really want to get this mod perfected. I can then post the how too and save everyone 100's dollars.

I bought mine for $82.99 shipped. Look Here (http://www.r6-forum.com/nuke/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=8276) Cral42 did finish, he posted a picture of his schematic and talks about it in this (http://www.r6-forum.com/nuke/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=4327) thread.

i also got the CAs for my 02 r6 and the leds arent even close to being as bright as the stock lights, also when i turned a signal on the, the remaining red leds kinda of flickered, looked bad. I returned them and bout another OEM one off a wrecked bike, its def much better looking
