Hey guys,

I just bought an 07 r6(non-s) that was lowered by the previous owner at his dealership. He said it was only lowered an inch but it seems like it was more than that. Anyway I'm 6' tall and don't need the bike lowered and want it back to the stock ride height. Also to make the thing not sit so damn upright on the kickstand b/c it scares the hell out of me when I put it on the kickstand and it seems like I could blow it over. I didn't receive any factory parts but I know the guy didn't do any other suspension mods and it was lowered by the dealership becasue I have the receipt for labor and a lowering link. Please help me get this thing back to stock ride height! What do I need to do!?!?!

I figured I needed another part but is that all that I need to change? If so can someone point me in the direction of a how to? Also, I think the front suspension setting were adjust to lower the bike as well, how can I tell if that has been changed?

Oh about the front... Just setup the suspension again for your own self. You won't want to keep someone else's settings.

Also, quick tip... Write your settings down when you do set them. 3 clicks for this two turns for that and yada yada. Search the forum for the how to on suspension settings. It is what you are most likely going to need to do anyhow. Most people I have come across don't even set their suspension up when they get their bike or even after a year. Do you want to be a Mr. Bungle like them? No! :)

So, have at it and good luck! I'm sure others might have something to add to this too.

btw

It probably has an adjustable lowering link in the rear. If so, you won't need any extra parts. Just slide the forks down in the triples and adjust the rear by using the stock hole in the link.

I did look through the search but didn't find anything that seemed like it had all the steps in it . . . I was hoping someone who ran into the same issue as I did could point me in the direction of what they used to adjust.

I will have to look further at the link and see if it's adjustable but I don't think it is. Are most adjustable? This one was bought from the dealer and was like $67 I think.

Thanks for the help guys!
