Hey everyone. Just thought I would stop in and say hi. Just picked up this new 09 Raven last night. Cant even ride it yet as I have a dislocated shoulder that is still healing from totaling my last bike last weekend... :(

Should be able to jump on it in a week or so, hopefully. Had the dealer drop it off at my house for me. No charge, so it worked out fine.

Has the Yosh can, tinted windscreen, swing arm spools, tank protectors, flush mounts front and rear, fender eliminator, rear seat cowl (and stock seat). Only has 6 miles on it. Dealer had it set up like this for a show. They were trying to get almost $13k for it as it is now. I got it for about $9k out the door. They also threw in a free Scorpion helmet. Oregon also has no sales tax so that rocks.

It was an 09 FZ6R.

I crashed because I plain zoned out  I just shouldnt have gone out that day... I had less than 3 hours of sleep the night before. Got up at 6:30am for this ride and felt like absolute shit. Should have stayed in bed. I decided not to. As we were riding, one of the other guys kicked up a nasty rock and hit my brand new dark smoke helmet visor and chipped the hell out of it. So that pissed me off and took my attention off of the road.

A deer also ran out but no one hit it. So that was another distraction to wrap my head around instead of the road. I then just spaced off or something and didnt even see the corner i was in the middle of. Blew right threw it and into the side of the mountain. Threw me off and up the hill into a log, and rolled back down into the road. I couldnt move my right arm and i grabbed it with my left arm to pull it up onto my chest. It made the nastiest pop ever and then the pain set in. Spent the whole day in the hospital. I find out on Wednesday if there is any tear or anything inside it. Hoping there isnt and I can get on the new bike soon.

As I was on the ground, two other bikes ate it. One slowed down to look at me and another just creamed him from behind. They were alright though. I learned my lesson to trust my instincts when my body said not to ride. Sleep is really important.

Thats a bummer man. Even experienced riders can not be in the moment.. only takes a second. Hope you heal up quick and get back out there. One good thing from it all is you upgraded to a newer ride:toocool:
