: Ebay Levers Installed - A little help please
kostyanj 07-28-2010, 02:43 PM Hey guys,
I got my FBD levers on my bike finally. I can't say that I'm 100% happy. The fit was great, but there's a lot of up/down movement. They're tightened on the clipon pretty tightly. The movement is coming from one of the screws on the lever itself. I can't seem to adjust it because a socket wrench won't hold the nut while I try to turn the allen bolt. Any help would be appreciated.
Here's some pics for you guys, I apologize in advance for the cell phone pics. I'll get a decent camera and go out there later to get some better pics.
haze748 07-28-2010, 02:47 PM Assuming they are installed properly, you might want to try a small nylon washer to fill the gap that allows the play. You get what you pay for...
kostyanj 07-28-2010, 02:49 PM They are definitely properly installed. I can see where the play is. I just can't get a socket to stay put and adjust the allen bolt. I'll try the nylon washer idea
redisdeadrideblue 07-28-2010, 02:55 PM If its the pivot bolt, over tightening may cause it to break the perch or prematurely wear.

It is the pivot bolt. So I shouldn't use a nylon washer in there?
haze748 07-28-2010, 03:06 PM I think he's saying that if you find a socket that fits properly and you tighten the bolt, don't go overboard and break stuff, like said perch.
kostyanj 07-28-2010, 03:20 PM Update: Fixed it. I can't take the credit though. dan gliballs PMed me a solution. I took a small flathead screwdriver and held the nut in place while I worked on the allen bolt.
Those that said you get what you pay for, the levers are perfect. They were just a little loose. Now they're just as good any set of Pazzos
Jeff4777 07-28-2010, 03:41 PM I like them. Looks like I'll be ordering the same set

Do it! You won't regret it. And you can't beat the price for $55 shipped. I ordered mine on Friday evening and had them in my hands Tuesday early afternoon.

These were the levers I ordered. Didn't have any install issues, personally.

Don't go with the gold, most people aren't happy with the color. FDB himself said he didn't think the gold was a good match because it is a tough color to get right.
KDawG02R6 08-03-2010, 06:17 AM love mine, little to no up and down play
