what should i launch at?
i dont wanna rip the tire up in the air but i dont wanna bog...
besides gear what else should i consider bringing?
tire pressure?
ill be riding out there from home about 20min ride or so.
what should i be trapping?

launching is key. start at 7-8k RPM's until you get the hang of it, then move up from their. Just gotta know how to release the clutch too

Just slip it and roll into the throttle at the same time. Stock wheelbase sucks ass and trying to do it in a one piece is worse. Don't use the clutch either.

Just keep the throttle WOT put pressure on the shifter and then roll the throttle back to closed foot shift(w/o clutch) and then WOT all in one quick motion.

As long as you do it properly and aren't grinding gears it's fine. I up shift without using the clutch even when not on the strip.
When racing shifting without the clutch helps keeps your front end down during shifts. I wrecked at 115, three years ago, from pulling a wheelie during a shift. Since then I have never used the clutch to shift on the track.
You can shift down without the clutch too, but it's more difficult. At least I find down shifting with the clutch more tricky to do.
