Hey guys I made a stupid mistake. I strapped a duffel bag to the back seat and didn't realize it had little pegs on the bottom of it. It scratched up the back tail on my 08 r6s and I don't know what to do about it. Any suggestions? Possibly painting it although I don't know where to get the black color to match.

That stinks!
Can you attach a photo of the damage? Were the pegs metal or plastic? If they were plastic, the scratches might just be color or not very deep and can be polished out.

Maybe a good buff and polish.
If not you can buy all the paints you need from Color Rite. They sale exact matches in either rattle can or spray gun ready.

Man, you're screwed...you might as well sell that thing. I bet it won't even ride straight after that. I'm suprised your insurance company didn't total it!!!

Rule of thumb when it comes to paint work (cars or bikes), if you can catch the scratch with your finger nail, you'll most likely need to get it painted to remove it 100%.
You have several options, from simple rubbing and polishing compound to wet sanding and polishing. But, as stated, it depends on how deep they are.
