Because I think powdercoating them black makes a huge difference and looks a hell of a lot better and when there not to me they stick out like a sore thumb. and when I was reading through what he has done, it said it and I just caught it haha.

Oops, good spot. I forgot these pics were taken before I sprayed them. Don't have any real recent pictures other than the updated 2nd one with a crappy phone camera but I do agree, it looks a HELL of a lot better.

Everything on the bike has been done by myself. Purchased the bike about a year ago and it was 100% stock. I started tracking the bike and got the bug. Ripped apart the bike and started wrenching on it and just about have it where I want. This is the first bike I have ever owned or worked on. I fabbed up the brackets for the tail light and headlight so I can run the bike on both the track/street with the race fairings. I painted the fairings myself, in my garage. I am sure I missed some parts, too many to list off the top of my head. Thanks for looking. :flex:

Edited to add the mods, I'm not sure there are many I bought it the way it is and the only thing I've done is remove the stock mirrors and put a small bar end on the left side.

Flush mount turn sigs
Some random LED rear turn sigs that look like they were stuck on with double sided tape but done very carefully as they aren't an eye sore and do no detract from the looks or flow of the bike.

And I've added 1100 miles and counting of pure pleasure riding through TX hill country since purchased
All the Decals removed as well as the reflectors, not sure what brand but the undertail has been removed
In the hunt this week for a mid pipe and purchasing a Bazzaz as we speak and have a BMC Race filter en route now just looking for the least expensive smog block offs.
If you notice anything on the bike I missed please inform me, only owned her for a few weeks now.

I got my 04 Limited Edition Silver R6 back in 09 from the stealer ship with 8000 miles on her. After living/racing in the canyons for a year I lowsided her 85+ mph at GMR and broke everything on it. :thumbdown In no rush to get back on a bike I let her sit for a few months in my garage. I slowly started repairing it and decided on a color change and ended up with a Black gas tank. Pretty much took 2 years of saving up/repairing to get her to where I was happy with it again. :flex: Here She is Enjoy:cheers
