i thjought these 2 bikes were pretty well the same but today i was helping a friend look at a 01 and it filt like it was lighter and it was so easy to click around. It was mostly stock other than it had a 70 profile front tire.Would it be his tire that makes it more flickable? and his steering felt kinda loose compared to mine.Then he rode minen and he said that my steering is kinda off but i never noticed and when i left i was kinda paranoid and kept checking but i dun notice it at all.

I guess it could be due to the tire, Im pretty sure they have the same ergonomics. I think the difference is mostly cosmetic.

It is largely down to the 70 front. He may also have altered geometry (by dropping front or lifting back). The previous owner may have altered it so he may not neccesarily realise.

1999 - The first R6: 120 HP with air induction and 169 kg dry weight
2001 - Engine improvement, weight reduction to 167.5 kg, new tail part with double LED taillights and possibility for U-lock storage under the seat. 70 profile front tyre.

an o1 has engine immprovement? i thought it was same as the 99

there are a few upgrades from the 99 - 01... but basically the same design
