Im in euless right off 360 and 183. 07 Blue R6. We need to get a ride together of fellow members. Where are some decent roads with curves in the area tho.

How has the weather been back there, I haven't talked to the family. I'm supposed to be heading back to that area, 183/precent line, the 15th debating on bringing the bike from out here or just take the car. So Irving huh guys? Used to live right off 161 at walnut hill and beltline right behind the CVS in the san simeon apartments, if you know where that is. I

It has been a little cool to ride but nothin some layers didnt cure. Before it rained today was pretty nice. Days are high 50's to low 60's it seems and nights are in the 40's. I would say bring the bike cause you know you will be wanting to ride it. Comin home for break from Tech i assume?

Ya the Beezers sucks! Used to work at the one off 360 and macarthur(sp?), then started working an chili's either way waiting tables can be annoying sometimes, some people are just needy bitches!

I joined R6 forums not too long ago. I just bought an '06 Raven from YamahaSuzuki of Texas off the edge of 121 where Hurst and Ft. Worth meet. Some nice guys up there. Anyways I'd love to ride but I am hella noob. I've been on a Suzuki GZ 250 twice and that's it. Just finished MSF. So I've probably got some practicing to do before I even attempt to hang with you crazy fools. Especially JBell; according to his profile he's 21 today, stay away from that guy on his bike. :) happy bday

I am North of 183&Norwood / West of 121&Cheek Sparger... in the area by the Bedford/Colleyville border.

Do they not allow test rides or keep the bikes off for a long ass time at that dealership? When I started it up the first time my tach didn't work nor did my headlights turn on with just battery on. Also had to switch back and forth a few times between O and X on the electric start before it would turn over. Now it all seems to work fine. Or so I think. :P

I am still learning have about 1500 miles under my belt lol thats it so far, got the bike around June..up north there are a few roads..the best thing about up north is you can enjoy the ride more rather than watching out all the time for cagers..there are a few back country roads with a few curves and i practice leaning a little out there but it's still 15-10 min ride from where I am at but you will see quite a few riders out on the weekends out there. sometime is go onto yahoo maps and look for country roads and check them out by car first ..dont want to end up on gravel lol ...but once the weather gets better I will meet up with you guys for a ride.

No im not a stunter. I do stoppies sometimes but thats about it. I dunno if they allow test rides because i didnt have a license when i bought my bike. Mine was fine when i got it but the rode about 2 miles on it before i actually took it off the lot

actually went riding that sunday..and monday...and tuesday lol was COLD...for that i am sick. lesson learned...NOT i think im going again today! muahahaa.

lol it has been cold dude..went out on seunday and found some twisties up in the country..almost crashed twice taking the corners too wide.. need more practice..there was a viper hauling ass behind me and doing his best to keep up..it was a good ride and ended up at dairy queen ..man their burgers are good..hope saturday is not too windy to ride.

its nothing too crazy it's up north i took two different routes the the one that had a couple are fm 455 accessible from hwy 377 it's up north by pilot point route to Celina if you pass the exit for 455 there is fm 925 or a good scenic route..but it puts you on 35 when it ends way north by gainsville.. but the 455 is a back road to Celina..by far the most sharp and wide corners i have seen anywhere else. following the road..had some good straights so floored it and slowed down to take the corner then another straght then another corner and so on but put some tar on the chicken strips..some blind corners as well as there was quite a few of them that were sloped up and then down..part of the road in a few areas you had to be really careful. I came to one where the road split and i decided to go right, but the road was in bad condition. if i leaned and tried to go right I had a feeling I would go right off the road or fall into one of the cracks..luckly i had a little bit of distance between me and the viper so straighted out the bike and came to a slow stop and turn.lol didnt want my ego busted on that corner..ended up in small town one of the old downtown looking squares..quite a few bikers out there making pit stops ..didnt run into many sport bikes it was mostly harleys and other customs on the road that day. i am new to this area up north so try to check out new roads up here..if I find any more I will let you guys know.

It actually started to warm up last night... ~58 depending where you were. Wind kinda sucked a bit but not bad riding. I drove around Greek Oaks which has hills and some curvature to it.. ended up going down 180/Division too far East which apparently to my new acquired knowledge becomes Oak Cliff. Wee.

guys don't know if you have heard of bostons. its a sports bar/restraunt off mcarthur and 635. The place has plasmas hooked up to ps3's open to anyone who wants to play unless there is a big game on Tv. if you guys are up we can meet up there tomorrow and grab a bite to eat.

Mesquite/Sunnyvale has changed so much man, i can no longer stand the congestion on town east lol thats one crazy half mile. The back roads around old sunnyvale is good through or even rides to lake ray hubbard is pretty cool. I went to the new cinemark theatre by the lake and the new shopping centers..well..new to me..there were quite a few bikes meeting up there on the weekends.

I say we all plan to meet at 10 on sunday. 114 and GBush is not too far but GBush costs to ride on. If you wanna meet us on 635 that works. Im tryin to think of a good hwy to ride on but kinda blank in the central of us area. Would prefer to stay gvine, lewisville, las collinas since i will be headin to work at noon. Whats the longest ride everyones has been on? Trying to get feel of everyones endurance levels inorder to help us out plan a route to ride. I am a newbie to long rides an the longest I have gone with an twenty minute stop is about 120 miles. Let me know and I will search for some good routes also keep in mind the miles to and back from the starting point.

Not sure about miles... Miles don't last too long if you're doing highway riding, I guess. In terms of time, I dunno... 1 hour? 1h15m? That's when I drove down service roads instead of driving down 360S and ended up lost. lol

I've ridden all day and then some at night with just stoping for gas and to bullshit a little so i'm good for whatever.

So how many showed up? Apparently at least 4 or 5 based on the comments. Maybe this could be a more routine thing? I have yet to find a biker gang. :toocool: Anywho, I couldn't make it out last weekend cause of gf's birthday BUT would like to in the future.

lol i use two pairs of gloves lol jk..got to have some gloves not just the comfort factor but the crash factor. ..i used to ride real late at night as well but haven't lately since it's been so cold..when it gets a little warmer I will be out again late nights.

I bought some "Bell" motorcycle gloves at Walmart for like $7 and they looked like sewed nutsack blankets. I think gloves are a must. I really should invest in some. Protecting your nails is of utmost importance.

Shiiiiit man I was doing more of my 30 degree night riding again this past weekend and took a turn onto Harwood Rd. doing MAYBE 5mph and I guess there was a slight puddle combined w/ the temperature of the tires/ground and that bitch was swerving like no tomorrow. Felt like I was writing "Eat my shit" in cursive with my back tire :eek5:eek5 Scared the shit out of me so much I forgot to be scared. you have to be careful bro..sometime you can never trust the roads in cold weather conditions..you never know when you might hit a patch of frozen water or something of that nature. We go plenty of warm days so save it for one of those day like zanatos said.

The weather is getting better there? Really? Out here the damn weather is crap. I road in sleeting 18*F on wednesday and today was 22* when I left. Hopefully it gets better because I don't think i'm going to do that again no matter how good my parking spot for the bike is, and I can tell ya this much I really don't like people who leave their sprinkler systems on to create nice ice patchs at intersections! It was a good ride today guys, I am glad the weather finally let up and we got to ride. It was cool to finally meet up with Zanatos and Shawn as well. We need to hit up firewater when it's open one night now I finally know where it is. I also found their website http://www.firewaterdallas.com/ Seems like they are only open on Fridays and Saturday's per the website..is that right? If so this will have to be a Saturday ride. There is also an online calendar of events so check it out.

I just found out that my GFs bestfriend (and good friend of mine too) is getting married the week of the Gap, so I might get hosed AGAIN. Im trying to at least get one weekend in there tho.

Anyway, if I can't make it, dammit, we are having a DFW R1/R6 Forum get-together, even if we just have a big ass BBQ or hang out somewhere. in all reality, there isn't anywhere here for tons of peeps to have a huge group ride, and, sorry, but I don't condone the millian man 635 sprints, so...we will just have to see. But I would like to meet local riders!

I have ridden but not so on 35 with all the traffic. It was a rush though lol I got everyone lost early on the ride and trailed behind a little but it was a fun ride. It would be cool to have the bbq sometime when the weather gets better. Yoda do you ride with any of the guys from txsbr? I know they have thursday and sunday rides occasionly and they meet up in your area. I need to get rid of some of the chicken strips before I change out the tires soon. The most amount of twisties I have seen is up north on 455 and those smaller fm roads up north. It has plenty of good straightaways as well for those who want to test the limits of the bike without too much traffic, but be prepared for those corners. I plan to put something together once the weather clears.

Its a pretty famous sport bike stretch of highway up here in north texas. If anyone ever makes it up this way your welcome to stop by my place and hang out or stop by for a pit stop between rides...

r6sb and myself went for a ride yesterday about 2 in the afternoon.
The wind was tuff on us, plus the drop in temp did not help any.
we basicly went down thirty to 35 then up to regal row. We stopped up there and called it a day.
r6sb had things to do.
All and all we had a great time just burning up the interstate for a little bit.

Not trying to be a smart azzz but its written on the bike - Its tell you how much tire pressure you need... Good luck on those tires... My threads seem to last long on Pilot 190's.. That is just me...

I got to ride for a quick min today but i wont be able to really ride till hopefully next weekend. I have my little girl this weekend plus the weather looks like it is going to be shitty.
