Looks different. Not bad. I have similar pipe, not cut. I think you can get different tips for that pipe and that would make it look a lot better in my opinion. Any way of putting it on and getting a vid for sound?

I'd love to try it out now but the bikes still in storage. I could get pics up as soon as its mounted but as far as a sound clip I dont know how to do that. but thanks for the kind words.

I also have r6s and love the look of short gp style cans.... first i achieved the look by cutting my stock exhuast and i liked for better sound and definitely better looks but this season i decided to upgrade to after market pipe and boy gp style pipes are not as much available for our bikes so i found one for 400 shipped and like it a lot... was riding today for 1st time and got lots of compliments on the sound and looks....

I hope it aint that loud. I still have the packing in there. Lets see what happens. Im almost done with the mid-pipe painting. I got on like 10 coats of that 1200 degree high temp black stuff from pep boys lol. thanks to all so far.

How much did you take off is that almost half? Also can you put a video or sound clip?

I didn't do the job myself.
I will try to record a clip, but it is pretty loud, but sounds really smooth too.

I just got my bike out today and changed the oil. I want to take a picof the her nice and clean. Just to make sure I put one last coat of high temp black on the mid-pipe. I will try to mount it tomorrow lol I hope it reaches the mount.

Man I like that. How long was your pipe and how much did you cut off. I have a hindle slip on and want to do the same thing. Mine is carbon fiber also. What did you use to cut it? I looked for a write up and could not find one. Did the cutting mess up the carbon fiber?

did you paint the exhaust pipe itself? the piece from the midpipe to the muffler? LMK how that holds up, i've wanted to paint mine (i got a raven too with a CF muffler and all the chrome on the pipe kind of bugs me).

Sorry I havent replied sooner Ive been really busy so much that i havent even been riding:mad: I taped the spots where i cut the can so that the cf doesnt splinter. I used a new hacksaw blade and did it by hand no sawsall. the pipe itself I beleive was 24 inches. Its now I think 8-10 inches if I remember correctly. I used the high temp duplicolor paint I think its the 1200 degree ceramic one to paint the midpipe. hope this all helped.
