Hey I was just seeing if there was any colorado r-6 riders out there

Cool im in thornton, Where are some good places that u like to ride at around here?

i like to go up to morrison right by redrocks. right after the turnoff for redrocks the road gets badass!

I'm on the north end of town as well.

If I can get out on the road and beat the traffic, I love riding the Peak to Peak highway. Sometimes head up to Ft Fun and do HWY 14 to Walden, then over to Laramie and back down to Ft Fun for dinner.

There are some great rides heading south as well.

yea i almost did the peak to peak one day. i have been up there in my car to go climbing and saw that it would be sweet on my bike.

Green Mountain. I'm right next to Red Rocks, so Morrison or Look Out Mountain are my warm-up routes on my way to the twisties. Take 6th ave west up through Central City/Blackhawk, the Highway into Nederland, then come back through Boulder Canyon. The last stretch of that ride is wicked, if you can catch it without traffic. Taken care of, every turn is banked. Beautiful ride.

Ya Northwest of me is my favorite as well, Boulder and surrounding areas. Hopefully within a month or two I will have a more normal schedule again and can actually go riding for pleasure once in a while /sigh

my fav is 6th to 93 to golden gate canyon rd to 119 to nederland gas up 72 to ward mile marker 44 is left hand canyon to 36 into lyons to highway 7 back up to 72 and take 72 home to 93 to 470 or go up 7 to estes for lunch

I was in Westminster the other day and saw 3 Daytona 675s which i thought was kind of wierd. And a lot of cruisers. No helmet law in Colorado eh? Great state ya got there lots of great places to ride from what I saw/rode. I hope to visit again soon :toocool:

Yes I sold my 03 Race bike and bought an 06 that Im in the process of building now for next season.....

Here is a pic of the Orange 03 the day I sold it... and the new 06 to the left of it... The R1 is my street bike..

Warm weather is coming to an end. We should attempt to get a ride together. Anyone up for this?

I'd be down, as long as you guys dont mind riding with a relative noob. I have Wednesday's and Thursday's off but im also taking Sept. 25th - Oct. 4th off so I could ride then.

Im down as well. I have been riding solo for the past couple of days and its kinda scary cause people in cars dont pay attention very well.
Deer Creek Canyon is a nice ride, kinda short but roads are real nice. Alot of riders cruze that canyon.

Thursday is a good day for me. Hopefully more people will chime in.

hey im ready to rideon weekends.. i usually ride with my bro and some guys from the r1-forum. we did a group ride about three weeks ago we did about 250 miles. were trying to set up another one too. we had ten bikes and a lotus. ..yea in that pis we were in colorado city...south of pueblo. we rode through salida and to cripple creek. ...about a month and half ago we went to boulder through the canyons and rode in boulder we did bout 350 miles that day...so whenever u guys wanna ride let me know and we an set it up. :toocool:

Im up in Cheyenne, but me and about 15 other guys are always lookin for new places to ride at. We always go down to fort collins and up to Estes part (nice ride by the way) and were starting to get bored. If anyone ever wants to meet up and go riding, most of us are more then willing to come down to the denver area to ride. But i also ride with alot of R1's if you dont mind. Couple of buddies and myself are going to get a group cruze through deer creek canyon this sunday if anyone is interested

i would get some guys together to go, but we need atleast aweek notice. The last minute stuff is kinda hard. Plus we all cant go to far cause were all on call for work for the next two or three weeks. Sorry man. :yuk:

THIS RIDE IS FOR ALL RIDERS THAT WOULD LIKE TO RUN INDEPENDENCE PASS AND SOME EVIL CANYON RIDING ALONG THE WAY. WE WILL BE LEAVING ON THE 30 OF AUGEST AND RETURNING THE 31. WE WILL BE STAYING IN NEAR BY GLENWOOD SPRINGS TO SOAK UP SOME HOTSPRINGS AND TO SHOOT THE SHIT (We will figure out lodging when we arrive in Glenwood Springs. It is mostly based on what will be the cheapest that current weekend and if we get enough riders we can get group discounts. If you make prior plans to stay at a certain hotel/motel by all means go for it.) YOU DO NOT HAVE TO SPEND THE NIGHT BY ANY MEANS. THIS RIDE IS FOR NON NEWBIES AND FOR EXPIERIENCED RIDERS (sorry).
