YaYoGakk 10-22-2003, 03:49 PM I've been reading different things the last couple weeks saying he is a definite Yamaha man now... it'll rock if it's for sure. Time will tell. :)
Rossi riding a Yamaha... wonder if that's enough of a challenge for him?
Alden
BRAVO 10-22-2003, 03:56 PM can't wait,imagine...

Jeffsy 10-22-2003, 05:05 PM wonder if that's enough of a challenge for him?

YaYoGakk 10-22-2003, 06:11 PM wonder if that's enough of a challenge for him?
Maybe he should've gone to Kawasaki, Proton or WCM for a challenge. :roll
Nah, that may be to much for even the great Rossi. LOL
BRAVO 10-22-2003, 07:33 PM or would it :?:
Mikeeh76 10-22-2003, 09:22 PM :bow i saw this guy (Rossi) from a Moto GP video highlight from a bike shop and this guy is just straight up bad ass on a bike. I was just
watching in awe of the things he can do!.
I wasn't familiar with him or the GP, until i got the game for the Xbox (Moto GP2). And i am glad that he might be riding for Yamaha!
BRAVO 10-23-2003, 02:04 AM the way he destroyed everyone last weekend, with a penalty, was amazing :burnout
xr6ross 10-23-2003, 07:35 AM hell yea, if he does sign for yamaha he will have his hands full with guys like gibernau, biaggi, hayden and of course the 2 ducatis. the honda and ducatis are just faster.
Double edged sword for Yamaha. If They win next year all the credit will go to Rossi and not Yamaha bike. If he doesn't win the championship then all the blame will go on the bike for making Rossi lose.
fireblade31003 10-23-2003, 07:56 AM He's so dam good he could probably win on a 550. If it is true I'm wondering what Honda will do to make a bike that can beat the old rider. It will be a good racing year next year. If he does come over... He'll still win.

BRAVO 10-23-2003, 10:05 AM JL. bang on.yamaha can't win
penfold 10-23-2003, 12:01 PM either way you know he's gonna ride the ****ing wheels of it.....
BRAVO 10-23-2003, 12:13 PM would b interesting, but i remember when foggy left 'CARTI he regretted it
red_m 10-29-2003, 12:23 AM Colin and Nicky are who are gonna take over the reins at Honda!!! :hammer
I think its great, that Vale has his sights set on getting into the history books the same way as his hero. I think he's more than up to the challenge to take Yammy to the top....I predict he'll win another world championship within 2 years on the Yammy.....then who knows?? He'll probably jump on the duke, which will be working sweet by then, and win another championship, on 3 different manufacturers  That would get him the "esteemed god" tag in the history books forever!! hahahahaha :drink
But bravo.....foggy was nowhere near as good as vale :FU

Rossi agrees two year contract with Yamaha
Lin Jarvis confirms Rossi deal
Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. have today announced the completion of a two year contract with MotoGP World Champion Valentino Rossi. Despite comments from Rossi at the press conference to announce his departure from Honda last week that he could not confirm his destination until after the 31st December, Lin Jarvis, Managing Director of Yamaha Motor Racing, has officially confirmed that the Italian will be incorporated into the factory squad from the 1st January and will make his debut on the YZR-M1 at the first round of the new season on the 18th April.
"We are all extremely happy that Valentino will be joining Yamaha in 2004," commented Mr Jarvis. "In our discussions with him it is clear that he relishes the challenge of achieving our goal in MotoGP as much as we do. He is an incredible talent and will make a huge difference. Obviously there is a lot of hard work ahead of us, but we are confident that we can give Valentino the means to achieve more World Championships and we look forward to the challenge ahead. This is a very important step in our plan to re-establish Yamaha as a leading force in Grand Prix racing."
Rossi will be joining Spaniard Carlos Checa in the Yamaha factory team based near Monza in Italy and run by team director Davide Brivio. Checa's current team-mate, Marco Melandri, will move to the Tech 3 Yamaha team (currently the Gauloises Yamaha Team), managed by team principal Hervé Poncharal. Both teams will continue under the Yamaha-Altadis umbrella sponsorship agreement with the Gauloises and Fortuna brands, although final colours and co-sponsors for the 2004 season have yet to be announced.
jeees_styles 11-12-2003, 04:59 PM i'm susprised he passed up that ducati deal. I wish i knew more about moto gp and all these faggets you guys are ranting about. man i need to get cable.
You guys really think the Hondas and Ducati's are faster? Why?
fireblade31003 11-12-2003, 07:29 PM Well the world has come to an end. Just kidding. It will be very interesting next year but the one thing that is still up for grabs is how much Hp will it take to beat him.
