I am guesing it's a photochop. I just grabbed it off of another site. Cool pic though. If I was gonna build a chopper I would try and do it.

With the engine in that R1 imagine getting the front wheel up on that. Now that would look cool.

I heard that underneath that R1 skin lurks Yamaha's new secret V Twin Powerplant.......

Nah, that pipe is engineered to absorb all the resonant frequencies from the engine thereby giving the bike a baby's butt like smoothness.....

You better have really long arms and really short legs if you want one of these!

It needs the exhaust from the new KTM. Dry sump so it can be all under the engine. Get rid of the can!

This is what I hope they put on the new R6. Underseats get rid of the awesome sharp tail look.

Cral,
that KTM looks nice, i also am fond of the exhaust since my selection for my new bike was between the 2003 R6 & 2003 Buell Firebolt

Thank god I went with the R6!

But the new Buell's aren't too bad....but for the price...i ain't buying one

Buell's site:

...........If only they redesign the headlight...maybe add some fairings or atleast have an option to buy one.....i would consider getting it.

I like the technological idea on this bike, Frame used as a gas tank, SubFrame for the oil, Showa Invert. fork and outer rim brakes! and the exhaust is similar in concept as the KTM that Cral posted

I was so close in getting the 03 model but when i saw the review on the R6......and that was it for me.

I mean it looks nice except it is still a HD which i don't mind but only the price is still high for the performance it gives you. I would rather get the performance of the R6 for the price! :flame

If i recall correctly, the MCM's are only available for the R1....and that is one sleek R1!!! Maybe a slight modification, you can put one on an R6. Didn't someone also mentioned that this one is loud?

Buells might be the ugliest and slowest "performance" bike on the market. There 1000 makes less hp than our 600 because of the crap v-twin design.

JL

you can wheelie the shit out of them though lots of torque

Ya, they only advertise them for R1's but I would think that a small reducer/enlargener (if that's a word :poke) would make it fit........

The reason why I ended up getting the R6 :boob

If only Buell would replace that crappy V-twin and update the front fairing and make it not naked, then it would've look better

I just like the technological idea on cetain aspects excpet for the ancient HD v-twin they used

JL

Yeah i agree with you on the frame and sub frame idea is pretty slick. Just dislike those engines so much. Even the engine in the RC-51 sucks ass compared to our little 600. Oh well maybe some day they will figure them out, supposedly the KTM twin is supposed to be awesome. We will see.

you're right about that, I test rode the Lightning. Similar to the Firebolt and man, these bike feels berry berry LIGHT!
The salesman warned me that they easily pop! And DAMN RIGHT HE WAS! :boob :flame

I would rather get this one "Street Fighter"
