These look pretty kewl. Would need alot of other polished bits on you bike to match though. I would have them poweder coated black. :mrgreen: I just wonder if you would loose the engraving detail once coated?

It would be cool if the parts were powdercoted then cut out. that way the only shiny parts would be the design itself.

You bastard! You stole my idea from the mirror covers (http://www.r6-forum.com/nuke/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=811)! I guess great minds think alike! Well, except for supporting a crap baseball team like the cubs....

Anyways, I would think that powdercoating first then engraving would work since it isn't paint on metal in the traditional sense. Since it is electro-statically applied and then baked on, I doubt it would chip off like painting regular metal. Plus you could keep the highly polished look and get some translucent paint to have some depth to the pieces and some color. Or you could just paint them a solid color.
