im wondering if anyone has put 01-02 plastic on there 99-00. I know the rear fender can fit because im putting in the undertail. Is the rest a good fit? will there have to be new holes drilled? thanks

All the plastics should fit without modification. :mrgreen:

did you try it? and what mods (if any) did you have to make?

If you are going the full route and want to do the 01-02 undertray as well you will have to change your current battery box as it will not work. At least from what I read and what I did. My 00 has an 01 undertail and it looks oh so much better.

Plastics are all the same except the undertail(fender) and batterytray. If you want to use the O1-02 undertail you need the batterytray too. Be warned, the 99-00 battery WILL NOT FIT in the 01-02 batterytray. The 01-02 has a smaller battery. IF you cut the new tray it will fit, or just buy a new battery. I needed a new battery anyways so I just bought the smaller battery. The CCA are lower on the 02 battery but there shouldnt be any problems with the smaller one. I installed mine today and the bike started up fine

Ya I wish I thought mine out more cause I think I lost my battery that winter so Instead of waiting to do my undertail mod I already cut all the plastic an am stuck using the 00 battery. Oh well, I have always wondered how much an 01-02 battery would move around under there with all those tabs cut away.
