: Sick of the bullshit...
amncroft 02-10-2004, 07:31 AM All right...I will probably catch some shit for this one...So is anyoneelse out there sick of all the shit-talking that is going on in the run for president? Especially about the war. How many times do I have to hear someone talk about getting "our troops" home? We all volunteered, and are deployed because we told the United States that we would be there if they needed us. I am currently in the Middle East, and I have never heard on eperson bitch about it over here. Sure no one likes being here, but we all know that we are out here for a reason. If we go home now, it will be like we were never here! Okay....sorry for the tangent....Just had to blow off some steam after watching CNN talk about the Primaries... :jump
cdemon 02-10-2004, 07:36 AM i never liked them iraqies. i've been saying we should have nuked them since i was 10. i'm glad we are over there, saddom has been a jerk off since before i can remember. rebuilding a country? that's some balls, if they succeed cool, atleast my tax money is doing something worth while - 'bout ****ing time.
:ot clinton got lucky the economics was already on it's rise as usuall before it's fall. i really don't give a shit that he got pussy, but he lied in a federal court house and i'm pro life. :moon
penfold 02-10-2004, 07:40 AM its the nature of politics. There is never any back patting from the opposing party, only tearing down and criticism. Thats the one thing I find crappy about only having the two parties. All they ever do is bitch at each other in the ultimate display of partisan politics. And I will say, the "war" has become to big of an issue and there's a ton of things that they aren't adressing since they are so locked in on this. So ya, I'm with you. I'm sick of it too.
I do wish you a safe and speedy return though and can't fully express how much I appreciate what you and the rest of your brothers over there are doing. For what its worth, I believe in what you guys are doing. And if in doubt, shoot first, ask questions later........
Be safe bro!

jasamb 02-10-2004, 08:15 AM yea, the other party will always exploit the biggest issues surrounding a presidency. The war in Iraq is the biggest one right now. See there are some who are for it and some who oppose it and many who are undecided.
By going against the war, the Dummicraps can focus on fabricated negatives surrounding the US involvement. If they can shed a negative enough light on the war, the many undecideds can be swayed to the side of those against the war = more Democrap votes.
It is NEVER about the issues with politicians
I will repeat that
It is NEVER about the issues with politicians
Democrats or Republicans--they say what they can to get your vote
Their jobs are not to have opinions or care about issues
POLITICIANS' JOB IS TO GET ELECTED!!!!!
amncroft and the rest of you, be safe over there.....thanks for fighting for our country!!
Not all of us are ignorant.

xr6ross 02-10-2004, 08:57 AM how about that jack ass general(ret) what ever his name is. he is the biggest hyprocrate i have ever seen.
amncroft 02-10-2004, 11:49 AM I have a hard time trusting any anti-military General. He held up his arm to the same oath that I did, and then goes around saying that the President made the wrong decision. Nevermend the fact that his buddies at the Pentagon supported Bush all the way...
:poke
penfold 02-10-2004, 03:20 PM how about that jack ass general(ret) what ever his name is. he is the biggest hyprocrate i have ever seen.
General Wesley Clarke. I think in the start of the "war", more like emancipation from the draconian ages if you ask me, but anyways, he was for it, then started criticizing it ruthlessly when they got bogged down in the sand storms and Nasiriyah, then tried to back track when Saddams statue fell and people were hitting it with the soles of their shoes which is a INCREDIBLY HUGE insult in the muslim world, an then finally admitted he was wrong to criticize the campaign and their tactics. They all wear two faces and speak out of both mouths at the same time. They'll shake your hand and kick you in the ass at the same time. That's their lifes goal. To see how much shit they can get away with.
YaYoGakk 02-10-2004, 03:42 PM Politics is like Janet Jackson's nipple.
deserteaglepoint50 02-10-2004, 07:43 PM Yeah politicians are all full of shit. You can't feel good about putting anyone in office. No one tells you what they really give a shit about. They just say what they can to get into office and do what the hell ever they please. You can't get any real information on any of the canidates since ever media sorce and all books have their own biases and I makes me ****ing insane!! Good luck on finding out real info on anthing to cast an "informed vote". I think it is impossible.
I can't stand the MTV bullshit Choose or Lose crap either. I am all for every voice being heard and getting people to vote, but pushing extreme leftist liberal views on mindless teens is not the answer. It will be truely a sad day if the American youth finally speak out at the polls becuase ****ING CARSON DAILY says it is cool to flock like mindless cattle.
At least Gerorge W finally answered the call of all the Americans and others that have passed under the "glorious clinton admin". I know who I am voting for come Nov. I don't see any better options out there yet.

Hammy_The_Can_Man 02-11-2004, 02:19 PM I would like to say that I'm a bit shocked that there has been such a conservative view posted her on this forum. Don't get me wrong, I'm pleasantly surprised. I'm a veteran and very much patriotic. So much in fact, that I have a tattoo of Uncle Sam on my right shoulder and the letters USN underneath it. As I watched this past Super Bowl and the singing of our National Anthem, I though of the brave service men and women who so proudly serve our country and are currently overseas. I thought of those that have so dearly gave their lives to make this world a better place. I looked around the bar that I was at, and the people who wouldn't get off their ass or take off their ballcap as Bayonce' sang the National Antham. I couldn't stop thinking about how good I have it, and the poor guys over seas who couldn't even watch the game because they were out on patrol, or even worse, dead. I wondered how many people in that bar even pondered that thought as it was being sang? I fear it was very few. They were probably more interested in the bet they had on the game, or getting another beer before the game started. I became so overwhelmed with emotion, a tear came to my eye. I had to go to the bathroom to get my shit together. I'm ashamed of some of the assholes I have to share my Country with. :throwup Especially the "Limousine Liberals" of Hollywood. I often wonder what our troops think when they see these idiots MF'ing the President and our war efforts. I'd like to publicly say thank you to our troops. God bless guys like amncroft who so proudly serve this great Country. I'd also like to ask him to share my story with the other troops he's serving with and let them know that I think of them everyday, and I wish for their safe return. Everyday as I leave my house, I unwrap the American flag that the wind has blown around it's pole, that so proudly waves from my home. And when I do this, I think of out troops over seas, everytime, without exception. Please let them know that there are MANY people who feel the same way that I do. They just aren't given the spotlight to say so. Let me perfectly state that what I have posted here today doesn't have a damn thing to do with me trying to sell a pipe. My feelings that I have expressed are genuine and come from my heart.
penfold 02-11-2004, 03:56 PM Right on Brian, i feel ya man! Hollywooders feel that because they have money, they have more of a say in things than anyone else and when someone disagrees with them, they cry about it. Look at the Dicky Chix. They cried foul when people bashed them about their views. Well, aint that the beauty of this place! We get to have different views on the same situation. If this was utopia and everyone got along and the world shared a ****ing coke, and someone came alond and said, lets start hitting people with tac hammers cuz we think they are idiots. People would be out of their chairs yelling at them. They had the minority view and choose to express it in a forum where they were far outnumbered and they were clearly told so by the public. Such is the nature of a free society. And yes, I agree with you in regards to people's apathy towards the country and all it has provided them. Is it that hard to get up and pay your respects to the country and the people that represent it all around the world?
As Brian said, thanks to amncroft and firefighterR6 and the other guys on here representing us all around the globe. And thanks to wily old veterans too!
I hope you 2 get home soon. I know it's just over 2 weeks for firefighterR6! Get home safe guys!

smiko0124 02-11-2004, 04:21 PM Im sick of politics... Im in college and taking a Political Science and Public Affairs class!! They suck hard core!! No offense, Ive never been much of a politics guy, Im 20 and Im not planning to vote in this elections. I do hate learning about the past and all that crap though... Write in me for a presidential candidate!! :cheers
R6Lieutenant 02-11-2004, 04:34 PM You need to vote...and stay interested in what goes on in the leadership in this country. The minute we stop caring is the same minute that we lose everything that we and our ancestors fought and gave their blood to accomplish.
I am a Marine stationed in California and it pains me to see a young individual refuse to vote because they do not think they or their one vote matter or give up on the system. Please reconsider...

fireblade31003 02-11-2004, 06:36 PM I'm not touching this with a ten foot pole. To the guys fighiting over there I feel your pain since Ft Benning is right down the road. I was glad to see a lot guys and gals to make it back safely but what they came home to was not what you expected. How about having over 20,000 in the bank and you can't touch your money. Why? Because you just spent 8 months defending this county and your not who you say you are. Beats the hell out of me. Please be safe and come back in one piece. We will never make the mistake of not supporting our troops like we did in the 60's.

If we don't vote, we lose.
You dont have to be a political genious to vote, you dont have to even know all of the issues. you just need an opinion...thats it.
You have the right to vote---You have the DUTY to vote. The reason this country works and is as GREAT as it is is BECAUSE you can vote. Not voting is not a protest, it is not a "oh my vote doesnt matter"
NOT VOTING IS YOU GIVING UP AND LETTING OTHERS MAKE YOUR DECISIONS FOR YOU!!!
If every person, who ever said "my vote doesn't matter" voted...every time...who knows what the outcomes would be like.
Who knows, we might not have had to put up with Clinton for a second term if everybody who thought "why should I vote, stupid Clinton is just going to win...".
:stupic
Dont think about who is the better candidate...there usually isnt one, in fact often there isnt even one who is less bad. Try to think about the types of decisions that would be made by either or how the parties work with or against Congress and how they affect you. Dont vote because you think that one candiate is going to do something good for someone else, vote because of how it affects YOU!
vote, please...everyone...............

smiko0124 02-11-2004, 08:26 PM I hear you all... I am republican but dont personally like some of the things mr bush is doing... I know I should vote and would vote for bush even though I dont care for some of the things he has done...
P.S. My brother is in the marines.. he is stationed in S.C. Right now he is over in the Persian Gulf on an air craft carry. He loves being in the marines and over there fighting. All the power to him and whoever is in the military!! I pray all the time that him and everyone come home safetly and thank the lord for these individuals who risk their lives for us. I am a criminal justice major and will be entering the police academy in a year to start my law enforcement carrier.

Yo B,
Everyones views are welcome. we're not here to chastise anyone for their views. We all are just voicing our opinion and well, we know what are opinions are.......
As others have said, go vote. You don't vote, you don't have room to bitch about anything. you live here, you should care about what goes on here.
R6Lieutenant be safe along with amncroft and firefighterR6.
fireblade31003 02-12-2004, 04:28 AM Oh don't worry I will be voting. I just have a problem with people telling me what to do. Like my Dad told me. You can either go to college or the Military. The Military is not a good idea for you because you have a problem listening to me. Take your chances in college. The sad part is he never got to see me or my brother walk across the stage. That was back in 97. My brother from high school and me from UT.

amncroft 02-12-2004, 02:40 PM I would just like to say thanks to everyone for the support...With all the negative views from the meida, it is easy to forget that people actually do support what you are doing! We had a guy that we work with pass away over here. I think that was easy to deal with. But seeing hs family that came over here to see him, that was the hard part!! Again thanks for all the support. And to Brian, I will and already have passed along your story. I can tell you that it definetly touched a lot of people!
cdemon 02-12-2004, 04:38 PM **** the media. i stopped watching the news a long time ago. :cuss :comp
