i have the 08 cadmium yellow and everything is blacked out from the bolts to the preloud adjusters, my question is when i purchase the 520 kit should i get a gold chain or black chain. i wish they had yellow but no one does, does anyone have a picture of the 08 cadmium yellow with a gold chain on it so i can get an idea please? could someone photoshop a pic of this bike with a gold chain with black sprocket and black chain with a black sprocket?

check this out, i think i got the perfect solution for you. i just purchased a master link from jay at moto-chains.com, and i asked him about different kinds of chains, and he said that hes got a black chain with gold rollers. so that could be perfect for your bike.

i was wondering if gold would look good on the bike i dont want to throw the color off.

dont' worry about how it looks so much... worry about riding it. that's my opinion. i like a clean looking bike as much as the next guy, but don't get too caught up in the "dressing" that you forget the steak! :)

the gold chain and yellow paint wouldnt match at all so i was considering a black chain.

on your bike, go shiney black (http://www.vortexracing.com/index.php?src=directory&srctype=display&id=10410&view=Products_detail). make sure that, wherever you buy it, they order/ship you a 520 one, b/c the link i gave you is only for the 525.

and just be sure you actually RIDE it... that's all i was saying.

Just so you know this just started a month or so ago so if dealers have old stock they will have the silver inner links. At this time we only have the gold inner links with the black outer links :)

On a yellow bike the gold will clash. The black is our best seller as it goes with everything, but with the gold inner links it actually makes it look pretty slick. Also easier to keep a black chain looking clean which is good :) grease doesn't show up as easily on it as other colors like gold, blue, red.

I think a black sprocket with a gold chain and your bike will rule. But to be honest with you, you shouldn't listen to Corey or I about our opinions about what you should get. Get what "You" think will look good on your bike to "You". If I listened to everyones opinion about a red chain on my bike not matching garbage I wouldn't have got what I did for a chain. And to be honest, I like the red chain on my bike. That's all that counts. But definately listen to Corey about what is a good chain versus a cheap chain.

Question maybe you could answer. On that R1 Tribute bike that was stolen i noticed his chain was black/white/black etc.... was that a custom made chain?

probably, i haven't heard or seen of a mass produced chain like that. At least not one of the upper end chains like we sell.

I would go with a VORTEX CAT5 rear sprocket in black they look sick, and a gold chain..
but its your bike what ever makes you happy..:D
