: Watch a cop get killed.
Nobody I know, but a video that's been making it's way thru various departments. Not a whole lot to say about it.

B|ack_Ange| 11-26-2008, 09:00 PM Is there an actual story to that? Because there is nothing there that suggests the officer was shot and killed. Its just a gun battle and the camera on the dash happens to get shot..........

Wholio87 11-26-2008, 09:16 PM Sucks R.I.P...
I have a question, the news site said he was shot by an automatic rifle? when you can clearly see the guy is shooting a hand gun...
Rogue 11-26-2008, 09:17 PM Cop was sure as hell a good shot. He covered the window in 4, and 2 more right in to what would be the drivers seat/section.
rroger25 11-26-2008, 09:19 PM he shoulda kicked the guys mirrors off right?! :)

The 1st time he pops out he has a handgun--which he shoots right handed. The 2nd time he pops out he has an AK47--which he shoots left handed.

HowNowBrownCow 11-26-2008, 09:21 PM that terrible, killed over some asshat that "should have been a blow job" was hunting illegally.
RIP

There where 6 patrol cars total..when you watch the video you can see rounds coming from the left hand side of the screen, possibly from another cop--but yeah, the ones's to the back of the window would have seemed to do the trick.

I'd say a mirror kicking would be in order--at the bare minimum. Thanks for your glowing contribution to the thread.

Wholio87 11-26-2008, 09:24 PM thanks for clearing things up!
now, not to be an idiot or anything. Is it good that Obama wants to make guns harder to get? Mostly Everyone Complaining about it are from Texas..

Thats a tough one--I've always been pro-gun..but being a cop means I'm exempt from most gun laws, not all but most. The scary part is how many paranoid people are running around screaming about the 2nd amendment---when most people that want to stand by it, don't fully understand it's meaning or application--but that's another thread. I like guns. I like most people being able to arm themselves, defend themselves etc..but then you got guys like in the video...

HowNowBrownCow 11-26-2008, 10:20 PM i have 2 AR lowers in my possesion now, and an HK91 (.308) assault rifle, along w/ many other guns that arent considered assault rifles in my collection.
to quote a great man.... "from my cold dead hands"
i really feel sorry for the cop and his family, but the sad truth is that more gun restrictions wouldnt save his life, nor the next cop that gets killed in the line of duty.
stay safe out there T1, you never know when the lead will fly.

im sorry but i disagree 100%. i feel the guy that shot the cop in this video is a complete piece of $hit, but due process is all that sets us apart from countries where they litterally take u out back and shoot u.
when we lose that, we truly lose what America stands for.

FCUCK THAT...if we weren't a bunch of forgiving pussi*s, much of this crime would be deterred...people would think twice about stealing if they knew they'd get their fcuckin hand cut off, or put in front of a firing squad for murdering a police officer...man i'm just pissed about this story...young father and husband is murdered cuz some di*k is hunting "illegally"
Bauer505 11-26-2008, 10:41 PM Just an observation (correct if im wrong T-1. and i probably am) but once shots are fired, dont police officers usually shoot to kill? But the suspect is still alive. With 6 patrol cars around i would think that once the suspect fires (especially with an automatic rifle) that they would down him in a heartbeat. Anyways just my observations. In the end, that guy is the bane of human existence (along with hippies).
Sammy Bono 11-26-2008, 10:42 PM RIP...All that could have been avoided with a freaken hunting permit. Hell you can get them only for like 5 bucks.

How do like the hk91? I have been looking into buying one.

good point...especially with their training...they should've all whipped out their fcuckin AR-15's on that piece of rat shit.

I also am wondering that. He should have been no longer with us just moments after he downed that officer.

and maybe you would think twice about your "vigilante justice" ideas when u are wrongfully accused of a crime, like capitol murder, remember they arent always captured on tape......

it is hands down one of the greatest rifles ive ever shot, much better overall than the AR10's ive fired, and HK's quality is second to none IMO. they are pricey tho (mine was a gift from my father :) )...
Oldkey 11-26-2008, 11:16 PM Rest in peace buddy. Always hurts to see an officer down.
CBREaterJonny 11-26-2008, 11:16 PM What a piece of shit. I bet that cop had NO time to unlock his shot gun/rifle. :( Life isn't fair. I'm currently having my background finished at an agency as we speak. May he RIP.
Ranko 11-26-2008, 11:17 PM That sucks

a fire fight never works out as planned in real world situations.

I've only been in 1 shooting--which I'll keep to myself--but yes, you shoot to kill--if your intent is to just 'wing' someone, then obvioulsy deadly force was not the best option...as for the video posted, from what I understand...the suspect had been shot and ran out of ammo. Pretty much threw the gun down and walked out-with his hands up..with everything on tape, it's hard to justify gunning down an injured, unarmed man that's surrendering---as legit as it may or may not seem--which is again, a debateable issue.
My intention was not to be the downer of the forum--Even if your not pro-cop I hope everyone can see the danger that's faced by not only me, or the people going in to law enforcement, but also the cocksucker that stopped you for going 5 over, or the dipshit that said you rode a wheelie when you really just don't know how to shift etc....do all law enforcement sign up knowing things like this happen, of course, as do the military--but an ambush for the sake of a ticket is never ok, regardless of who dies.
Thanks for looking.

I want one for deer hunting.
wastedrubber 11-27-2008, 12:15 AM that's quite a video. i'm on a volunteer fire dept. in my home town and my chief is (was before his harley smash left him incapable) on the pd as well. he was tellin me several years ago they had just got a brand new caprice and he was out turnin the wheels for the first time when a call came in about a robbery suspect out of flint being chased into his jurisdiction. so he got in on the chase they binned it and started opening fire on him with AK's. they had a duffel bag full of loaded clips as well. fortunately for him it didn't end up as tragic, just a brand new car write off.
ninja316 11-27-2008, 12:50 AM R.I.P.
That F****R was in Texas, he will get the needle..........
Azn Grim reaper 11-27-2008, 01:18 AM R.I.P. Hate to see one get taken out in the line of duty cause some asshole doesn't want a ****ing ticket or wants to deal with jail time.
Rogue 11-27-2008, 06:22 AM I think due process will do him some good.
Bubba is waiting.

I hope Bubba rapes that ****er until the day he dies...
dmagiccherry 11-27-2008, 07:35 AM i watched the video before reading the news story.. and thought, wow its not everyday your dumb criminal is a trained shooter. It's a really sad story, and terribly senseless. I'm sure in TX this guy will get the death penalty, especially with everything being on tape. Still does nothing to give his 4 month old a father tho'... wow T1 way to ruin my thanksgiving with a depressing story! jk... Stay safe out there
dmagiccherry 11-27-2008, 07:43 AM I did some searching to see the outcome of this guys' trial and of course he was found guilty and sentenced to the death penalty. Here's a link that explains what happened a little better. Doesn't sound like the shooter gave up so willingly and he was also shot four times. You have to go past the first paragraph to get to where it talks about the Freeman case.

darkstarVIII 11-27-2008, 09:13 AM I've always shown respect to law enforcement when I've been stopped because I know they're up against daily. However this video sheds a whole new light on the subject. I'm very sorry that it ended the way it did. For all you armchair cowboys who are whipping around the shoulda couldas! I'd love to see you get to your trunk for that AR or fumble with a release switch if it's mounted in the car, whilst taking fire. That asshole looked comfortable & surgical with both a pistol & a rifle so surgical in fact most of you missed that he even presented a rifle on the 2nd go round. T-1 thanks & be careful out there man.
mu71l4710n 11-27-2008, 05:18 PM eh stricter laws only hurt the people that follow the rules anyways. making it harder for hard working honest joe to buy a gun won't stop crack head bob from buying one from the guy in a dark alley.
infiniti30 11-27-2008, 10:42 PM Sorry to rip on Texans but that is one backwardass mofo to start all that and kill a game warden for hunting a possum. What does a hunting ticket cost you? Now he is going to meet the needle or rot in prison.
fantasticdan 11-27-2008, 10:47 PM I swear that a Philly cop dies every week. It's getting ridiculous, most of the time it's not even related to the same incident. I think the past one a cop was responding to a robery and got t-boned by a drunk driver, the other one the guy was just walking into a Dunkin Donuts (lol, for real) and the second he walked in, the guy robbing the place got him in the face/head.
It's pretty disgusting, hope you don't have to ever be in that situation.
SHSUR6 11-28-2008, 06:09 PM why would you post somethin like this?
thats horrible. 4 month old kid....:nono
