I just purchased four of these:

9" each
I know people usually mount them to the underside of the tank... one on each side so that they are pointing downwards. That will take care of illuminating the engine section.
What about the front and rear fenders? I'm not really seeing a good spot to mount these babies.

I mounted mine to the frame so you could see the engine iluminated. I have also seen lights under the rear fender, under the front fairing by the radiator, under the bike near the bottom fairings. I found you want to put them near the openings in fairings but not too close. The closer to the openings the more light you will see, but too close and you will see the neon.... Here is a small pic i took with my phone about 3 years ago.

I have mine in several spots. What I did is brought over a friend, hooked one up to a 9v, and said, "how about here?" how about here? how about here? for hours. but I have a strip in my ram air intake, under the bike to light up the pegs/exhaust can, and all of the openings in the engine area.

That's what I DON'T wanna do..... spend HOURS on trying to figure out where I want them.
(Of course, I've lugging the bike to the basement due to the cold winter months, so I guess that'd be ok to do. :lmao)

try not to mount to any fairings that you may be taking off. I made this mistake. There are holes behind the battery that are decent for single LEDs. Good Luck!

behind the shock on the battery tray. on each of the side openings on middle fairings. bottom side of lower triple tree, lower fairing right near the edge to light up right underneath. make sure to insult wires that will be near hot parts of the engine

Where do you guys order these kits? I've been lookin around but can't make my mind up to get single LED's or buy the kind that have little pod's with four LED's per pod. What has worked best in ya'lls experience?
