I have a completely stock tail section on my 01 R6. I'm also currently looking into a slip on upgrade, and haven't decided if i'm getting a high or standard mount. I know that if i decide on ahight mount, i will need to do some alterations on my trunsignals, ect. What is the cheapest way to do this, without integrating the turnsignals into my LED's ect, so that if i decide to go high mount, it will fit.

It depends on th high mount can you get, some are real high and tight, some fit a little lower. You will probably need to make some changes though. cheapest way is to buy some stick on flush mounts and stick them to your tail section somewhere. also hack off all the excess plastic on the mud guard/ license plate holder.
When people talk about short stalks, are they referring to the turnsignal arms? AT this point, it would probably be a blue flame hight mount, if i end up going hight mount that is

yep the short stalk talks about the arm leadin to the light housing. the cheapest way is to find some of those and to make a fender eliminator or find a cheap one on ebay and modify it to make the blinkers fit with your high mount. its not hard to make one if you can get some aluminum and bend it and cut it right. i could probably make you one pretty cheap cause i got the BF high mount and should be able to make the blinker placement look good for ya. youd have to give a little time cause its pretty hard to find it right now. let me know jason

The best way would be to decide what your going to do or make/modify after you pick and buy an exhaust. Get it mounted, see what room you have and go from there.

the difference is the mid-pipe. get the mid-pipe for the highmount and you'll be cool. oh, and a different strap too.

We did this temporarily, until we have the motivation to make it better: We took the stock reflector mounts, and modified them to use blinkers, and mounted them to the bottom of the plate. It works for now!!!
