Here are some updated pics for a few changes I have done on my bike this past few weeks.

I was finally able to install the Mototeck flushmounts, but I rather found the adhesive that came with it rather weak. So I temporarily used a 3M double sided tape. I need to replace the temp 3M ones with thin & clear ones. The original adhesive became weak and just loosened up from the warm weather. I do like how they mount rather flushed but enough for cagers to see my blinkers. I also incorporated the running lights within the headlight unit as the pictures show below.

Next pics shows the tail fairing being black. I got this part mint/almost brand new from Ebay for rather cheap. It came off an 04 Red/Black R6. I had this in mind awhile back and thought would try and see how the black one comes out. Not too bad except it makes my bike a bit darker on the rear. I still have the BLUE undertail which makes the whole color scheme a bit odd. I might go back to the blue one later. You can also notice that I don't have rear blinkers since most of you know that I got the VFX integrated blinkers and the last pics shows the rear running lights.
And Yes I finally stuck the "CHROME R6-FORUM STIX"

Another side angle shot that that shows my new decals
I also got the tire hugger, and heel guards in real carbons.

I hope these pics helps to any one considering the Blue Flame exhaust(which I know has brought alot of interests), or getting the rear signals integrated to get the cleanest look (it be MD Wright, UFO, VFX, Custom LED), or just wondering about the color mix n' matching with the plastics.

looks good my man! if the black on the tail and the mids matched more so, it might have a more "integrated" look but I think it looks damn good. And as for the flushmounts, thats why I choose the LP III's since they mount with holes drilled thru the fairings, which I know everyone one isn't a fan of (messing up their plastics that is) but you don't have to worry about them staying on.

Keep up the work man!

Thanks you guys,
Yeah I am still rather skeptical with how alot of black shades are turning out from my bike. I would assume some decals would brighten it up to give it a more race/sporty look. Since you mention it Pen, I can see how the black shades incorporates through the middle of the bike.
Yeah I could have gone with the LP's & I don't mind drillin' or modding the plastics. I am actually considering to screw in the flushmounts since it has (2) holes for screws. Or if I can find a better adhesive. But otherwise, I like it so far.

So Dave, I heard that you guys got up to 80+ degrees down there!
Up here in the Bay Area got up tp almost 80, and boy that was freakin' hot riding with leathers on!

My son's reaction after finding out where I had been spending his diaper, toys, Happy Meal funds! :jump

WOW!!!... now that is SICK!!!!!....... i like the way you chose to be different and go with the black mids and stretch it back to the tail. HAHAHA....... you already did your headlight running lights. cool. i still havent started my headlight mod. i have everything but time. i would rather be riding. i guess on the next rainy day i will start.

Mike your bike is looking sweet, the dark look is kinda cool looking.

I'm getting ready to order the Blue Flame carbon and want to add a bunch of carbon stuff, where did you get the heel guards and hugger from. I only found the one guy on ebay but he doesn't do the carbon yet.

yeah man its been hot as hell down here nice too for riding canyons some are still alittle dirty from the rain but most our clean. Sucks riding with leather gets hot but i guess we cant complain to much out here lol ...

In my opinion, incredibly sweet looking man, got one question, how do you have your license plate rigged, did that come with your vfx kit, or is it the pivot kit that is sold seperate? Like I said, looking good man, very unique

oh and i like the black and blue too. something just doesn't look right. the black mid fairing just looks out of sync with the rest of the bike. i like pens idea. :cheers

Mikeeh, are your running lights even visible with your hi-beams on? are you relying on the running lights for functional use or just to keep the wiring loop balanced?
also, what brand exhaust are you running, the logo is hard to read? I like the black fairing but if you're going to keep it then i think removing the white decal from the tank would be a good move and possible the delta box III decal. :cheers

oh and i like the black and blue too. something just doesn't look right. the black mid fairing just looks out of sync with the rest of the bike. i like pens idea. :cheersThe mid fairing are in matte black finish and the tail is glossy black just like the rest of the blue plastics. I am opting for the matte finish. Maybe i'll do that with the tail later on.

HAHAHA....... you already did your headlight running lights. cool. i still havent started my headlight mod. i have everything but time. i would rather be riding. i guess on the next rainy day i will start. Thanks stone, I just felt I had to stretch all the way to the tail. And yup, I did a cheap ($11) headlight running light mod. I know what you mean, I had been riding pretty much every day since we got warm/hot weather this past week.

I only found the one guy on ebay but he doesn't do the carbon yet.the Dark look blue-black scheme is what i am going for. I am glad it is turning out okay, not too weird. The carbon stuff, I actually got if from a local-area forum member (Weazel). You can probably get the ones from yamaha but I know they are costly. I know one guy from Ebay who sells the huggers in carbon. I'll let you know if I come across it again. And BTW, good choice on the exhaust! You won't be dissappointed!

yeah man its been hot as hell down here nice too for riding canyons some are still alittle dirty from the rain but most our clean. Sucks riding with leather gets hot but i guess we cant complain to much out here lol ...Yeah same here, been very nice, perfect riding weather! I guess when you have leathers, you just gotta look for stoplight-less roads!

Like I said, looking good man, very uniqueZlee, thanks man and hopefully the pics clears up the questions you had regarding highmounts. and it is the VFX Pivot kit like Cdemon mentioned.

I like the black fairing but if you're going to keep it then i think removing the white decal from the tank would be a good move and possible the delta box III decal. :cheersRoadwarrior, Yes they are visible, but I will eventually change the wattage of the bulbs and even get a dual filament type so I can also use them as turn signals. Both of what you mentioned are why I integrated the running light into the headlight unit. I have a Blue Flame dual port hgih mount. And yes removing the decal from the tank is the sensible thing to do, but I don't feel like taking it off and getting it repainted. I just got the decals (pearl white stripes) that came with the Blue fairing from Yamaha and I will put those in. I planned this when I got the black mids. I think it will give it a more race/sports look. And yeah I will take your word on removing the "deltabox III" off. Thanks for your opnions! I really appreciate it! Check out this thread for the shots I just posted regarding the Running light w/ & w/out highbeams on and see for yourself. I think it is not bad for an $11 mod.

So far it seemd to, I also finally added the decals last night, I think it turned out for the better! I post pics in a few.
Actually I followed the instruction that Pen/Jeffsey posted but I dropped the "relay" part all together to keep it simple.
And I am glad you like it, biatch! :cheers

Thanks Bravo! I am glad I went with the decals, it gave it some lighter shade since it was starting to have too much black. It now looks similar to the Euro 03 blue I believe. But the tail, I am still partial, maybe it might grow on me. :cheers
If there is a way you can make your tail black (repainting it or buying one off Ebay.uk) atleast you can try it out and find out if it would look in place. But I think it would, since you have the silver one!

BTW, I am glad you finally got the pics posted! Bravo to you man! The bike is looking very nice!

Yeah the Blue Flames are one of the nice looking Highmount exhaust out there. The lines really go along with the 6 and the offset is just right, not too far or close to the tail fairing.
I got it from HammyTheCanMan for a really good deal! But sadly, they don't make the ones that I have now. But they do have the new Evo's, looks the same except they change the logo. PM Hammy for a quote.
