Hi guys im new to this forum.

I just wanted to put up some pictures of my 06 R6.. Its just been finished painting now and what a bastard it was too.. 40hours went into painting and prepartion of all the fairings and panels.. Overall im happy how it turned out.. **** FINISHED PHOTOS Pg 2****

The bike has been custom painted Candy ORange down the whole one side of the bike and the other side a strong white pearl from Subaru colour range..
The paint job also has silver metallic tribal graphics painted into it and then Yamaha symbol stickers placed on top to go under the clear when finished.
It also has blue pearled Skull 'ghosted' graphics on the lower sides, (not done in the photos i had to leave).

Im yet to put the bike back together but will in a few days. The pictures of the parts arent finished and still needed 3 coats of clear on top.. Anyways a little taste of it till i put up whole finished photos and more detailed ones..

Here you, only have taken pictures at night whenit was done, havent had time to take it out in the sun.. you cant see the detail and ghosted skulls in the pearl but you get the idea of what she looks like.. im just enjoying riding it again :) cheers.

Seat is still to be trimmed in black leather, the red looks crap against the orange..

Haha, yeah it is, well if i "accidently" fly by a cop and he sees the bike is white, then chase me il pull over turn the bike to the orange side and pretend im doing something.. lol. They would never know..

Dont worry about the skulls in the light, you should see how strong and deep the colours are.. looks unreal. Different for sure, and i think the only one in australia divided half-half and in this colour scheme.. I may be wrong, but never seen one.

Is the undertail all white or is it divided? and how are you gonna go about aftermarket parts... you'd have to get two different colors instead of a 1 colored set :dunce:

The undertail is divided white/orange but the opposite and has gloss black just behind the number plate.. It breaks it up, like at the front under the little parker light its the opposite.. Will get better photos soon..

Aftermarket parts going on this bike is just the indicators, maybe a pipe.. Its good how it is, it turns heads and has enough power for me.. for now :)

That is a very custom look man! Reminds me of an R1 I saw two years ago at a bike show, think it was the BozBro's bike or something like that! Nice bike again and looking forward to some more pics!

idk what to think about it... to each their own. i like the tribal stuff goin on but idk about the split paint. either way you did a great job and im glad you like it!!

Sorry took a while, weather has been crap.. Went for a ride today, very windy, twigs and tree branches all over the road.. But got some pics in.. You still cant see the detail in the paint but you get the idea..Im no photographer as well lol. Best i can do.

Bike has a black leather seat now.. retrimmed the red one today, letting it sit before it gets put on..

Thats your honest opinion and fair enough, some may not like it, others like the idea.. In the end its how i wanted it, maybe in a year if i still got it ill paint it different again.. Cars and Bikes, it never ends...

I can appreciate the concept and the high quality job that was done here, as well as the artistic touch, It's just not my thing. All in all though, it a sick one of a kind bike and it looks amazing bro, good job!

The orange is very strong in sunlight, the bike would look sweet all white, or all orange, as some have said, its not their thing but different..

Ill probably end up painting it again one day somethiing completely different.. Maybe a racey theme, i like the FIAT R6 on the forum, that'd be sweet..

My mate did a shoot for me the other day, pics look sweet.. Here's a unfinished sample.. Yes it was nightime.. Still looks kool.. And you can see billet mirrors on it now, black leather seat.

PS: switching from red to black seat works so much nicer too :)

I like it alot........but do yourself and all of us a favor and get rid of those damn passenger pegs, especially since it looks like you only ride with the seat cowl and not the actual seat....

Btw guys, it's not "tribal" it's pinstriping. Go to a hot rod show.

But the underside of the tail section HAS to be reversed. Looks dumb that way.

The color scheme IS growing on me and making me think. The front windscreen with the pinstripping and logo REALLY set it off. Also go back and do the rear fender.

The standard mirrors dont look good against the paint, these look way better, i reckon bar end mirrors would look sweet.

I rode it today to work at my house :) Sun brought out the orange perfectly.

Nah man, thats the leather seat trimmed like that, its like netball stitching and it prutrudes out like that. Now that i look at it, it does look like a cargo net lol..

thanks dude, i like it more and more i ride it.. Had people compliment everywhere i go, taking photos on their phone.

The two tone is very unique like two bikes in one the paint quality looks amazing, but like others said before me loose the mirrors.

Im guessing its the Two Bro's R1. And yes i did see that, but that bike has multi colours on it, on its white side its got the american flag or something, and green on the orange side.. i cant remember.

Originally my bike was supposed to be painted all white, but i saw that and my mate mixed a crazy orange.. So i thought why not.

I actually put it for sale, and it sold straight away :toocool:
