Spectra Shields Mirrored

I bought a Spectra Shield Mirrored (Silver) and found that it scratches off so easily. Now I have these stupid streaks on my shield and it's annoying. Anyone else have this problem? Is there anything I can do to protect the shield (possibly a clear sticker)? Do you think the manufacturer will replace it?

What brand is the shield? I have the Shoei chrome spectra shield and have been quite happy with it. As far as them replacing it, it is definately worth trying. Maybe if the manufacterer wont replace it the retailer you bought it through would consider replacing it or discounting a new one for you. Good luck.

In the UK the law is that if it's less than a year old then you can insist on refund or relacement as long as you quote to the retailer that it's 'Un-merchantable Quality'. It's not up to the job it's been sold for. If your in the US you probaly have a similar rule, so it's worth a try. If you do get it replaced try covering it with one layer of food wrap, that works on my visor.
