Well I went down a couple months ago... kinda low on cash so its been taking me awhile to gather parts. Im asking for any opinions from those who've gone down and had the same thing happen to their fuel tank.

Would it be much cheaper just to get a new tank, or is getting it fixed and painted a better option? A new tank would cost around $500, I have no clue how much to get it fixed... kinda have no idea what to do about?

edit * I recomend Evo Tech Frame Sliders (no cut) for anyone searching for sum good quality sliders. They held up great and saved me a shit ton of money. As you can see in pick, the slider absorbed the impact and broke off just like it was suppose to.

same thing with my tank, went down and rashed it pretty good and there was a hole. I searched on ebay and found one for 200, cheapest around (included fuel pump).

The body shop that i brought it to couldn't do anything because there are gas fumes inside and if they were to weld it, it might explode. I would say look on ebay and just get another one.

on another thought. I think they make tank sliders that mount right up to that spot. Not sure how they mount, but it should cover all that rash up if you can make it work. I'm not sure of the name of the company.

is there a hole?

yeah it looks like your dent is bigger...and these don't look too good either.

hmmmm... it looks like that might work, until i get enough money for a new one. It looks like im gunna have to glue it on since theres probbly gunna be no contact point from the dent.
