LP Racing Tank Pad

I recently purchased one of these in Carbon Fiber. Piece of crap only lasted about a week and a half. I live in the desert, so I guess the tank pad couldn't take the heat. The adhesive is still stuck to the tank, the carbon fiber is peeling of the adhesive. Can anyone recommend a good tank pad that can withstand heat??

That website has some nice tankpads. It's too bad they don't make any in plain carbon fiber or black. I know some people had complaints with progrip tankpads, but I've never used one...
